5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for camping coffee for two
Made coffee for my wife and me. Heated on coleman stove and over wood fire - worked great. Easy to use and clean. Sturdy construction. The insulation of the pot is not great - doesn't keep the coffee hot very long when removed from heat, so we mostly just kept it on low heat. It was cold in the mornings (low 30's) so this heat loss was fairly understandable. All-in-all, great purchase!
5.0 out of 5 stars Fast and easy
Product is well-made and works perfectly. Good coffee and great support from company.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly built product. Should last a life time as long as you take care of it
The best coffee hands down is brewed in this percolator!!! It's a must have! 🤪. It's Durability is fantastic easy to clean, smells absolutely amazing. It's brews super quick. Super easy flow when poured right from the stove. It's a little heavy but it's what keeps the coffee hot. And you can reheat right in the percolator just take out the grounds holder. Best investment I have made in a long time.
4.0 out of 5 stars Finally!... a great cup of coffee!
I have always used an automated coffee maker....until I started thinking about the use of plastics and how they are really not healthy. So I came upon this Coletti percolator and saw that there are no plastics and aluminum used in its construction. I grew up with my Dad using a stove top percolator and his coffee was always very good. So, using it ,is a little different and tricky, but the coffee it produces is full-bodied and delicious. I used 1 heaping tbsp for each cup (5 cups) and had it set for high- medium (they say use it on low/med, but my electric coil is not great, lol!) on my electric stove top and let it "percolate" for 6 minutes and the coffee was wonderful...way better than my automated coffee maker. Way better.Only reason I did not give a full 5 stars was because part of the handle that is not wood, gets pretty hot and you have to push the top part forward when pouring to prevent coffee grinds from escaping....otherwise, all was good and I am happy there are no plastics or aluminum parts in this pot. ***it might take a few attempts before you get your coffee to your liking, so be patient.
5.0 out of 5 stars Hot and Smooth Coffee!
Now I understand why my mother loved her coffee! This is the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted! It was still hot after I added half and half, and so...smooth. It was strong, which I love without the bitter taste. It took about 20 minutes from start to finish. I started out on medium heat on a flat top stove. The pot didn't rock as some had mentioned. I bought the 6 cup pot, but got 2 1/2 mugs of coffee. I did use a wrap filter to avoid the grounds, which worked well. I'm going to use this on the weekend due to the time it takes to make, but I'm extremely happy that I bought this!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great size
Purchased this for camping and it is great. The durability has been spot on- I use it daily for a 6 week camping trip- it looks fancy with the wood handle and silver color. There is good temperature for the coffee once it’s percolated and no leaks when pouring. I use it on my small gas camp stove.
3.0 out of 5 stars Loved this for the most part,
I loved this for about 3 months then the top started getting stuck in a back position when I washed it. I don't know if it was just my pot or a common problem. I would get it unstuck and close the lid. Until the last time when it got stuck and I closed it, it no longer aligned with the pot. Very frustrating, because its a great coffee pot otherwise. I wish the top wasn't attached, as I think this would alleviate this problem. I did not order another one, I just went with another brand.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best purchase ever
The quality of the coffee percolator is perfect. It perks the most delicious cup of coffee. And when I wash it, it cleans up in minutes. I followed the instructions. I don’t let it park for more than 3 to 5 minutes and I get a perfect cup of coffee every time.
Cafetera
Súper bonita y práctica. Muy satisfecha con mi compra.
High Quality, Superb
This is what should be THE standard for coffee! I used to love when my grandmother would perk up a fresh coffee. 40 years ago, she had a simple aluminum perk and it got the job done. The 12 Cup Bozeman is highly crafted of stainless steel. Having brewed several pots now, I cut an X in the middle of a paper filter, filling the max water gives me 3+ XLarge mugs of PERFECTION. I heat the water to boiling, then put the hopper in and turn the stove way down to SLOWLY get the flavour out of the grinds. After 20 or so minutes, I take it off the burner turn the stove to min, and wait a minute before removing the hopper to the sink to cool...pour, and return pot to stovetop. Easy to clean, and blows the electric drip taste away completely. Best purchase of 2024. Coffee beans are EXPENSIVE and I'll spend the extra 10 minutes to get the right taste which is even better than my French Press! I use a single cup- 3 minute brewer if I'm in a furry hurry and regret it every time now. Thank you Coletti for your service, AND beautifully crafted high quality products.
Makes good coffee
It's a complete change for me having used machines and a cafetiere (french press) over the years. I've never had a percolator like this. It's really a bit of a revelation just how good this is. It makes 3 mugs of strong coffee which sets me up for the day and I'm loving it. It's easy to use, set up and clean and takes about 15 minutes from start to finish on a low heat on my gas hob. I would recommend this to anyone who loves coffee. One last thing to add. It comes with some paper filters. I checked and to buy 100 of these is, I think, a little expensive, obviously you can judge for yourself. So I bought 10 cafetiere replacement mesh screens. 4 inch in diameter. £4. You only need one which will last for ages, does the job for fine ground coffee and is reusable. Just sayin. Anyway just get one. You won't regret it.
Better Than Drip or Siphon Machines.
The Coletti Bozeman 6 Cup percolator makes fantastic coffee. The internet said to use medium-coarse ground coffee and medium heat for best results, and to brew for a maximum of seven minutes - otherwise the coffee gets more bitter the longer it brewsThat's what I did, and I didn't bother with the paper filters since they remove all the oils and tlavour from the coffee (though, apparently, some people like it that way). I used 500mls of water in, and four and a half heaped tablespoons of ground coffee. The coffee was much better, richer and more full-bodied than that from my Drip machine and from my Siphon machine. This percolator cost me A$39.95. The Drip machine costs just over twice as much as that, and the Siphon machine costs three to four times as much. The percolator was too slow on our induction stove, so I put it on an electric hot plate. One can see when it brews by water splashing into the top translucent knob. Start the timing from that point (I told Alexa to remind me). You don't actually have to stand there watching for the percolator to start splashing after the first use, as it makes a splashing noise which you will easily recognise from then on.In terms of coffee taste/strength, the coffee that this percolator makes is between that of Drip/Siphon machines and that from a Moka pot.If one likes all sorts of coffee types from different machines and methods, as I do, percolators like this Coletti one. should definitely not be overlooked.Regards.
