works just fine. If the instructions are followed the weight reading shows up quickly flashes twice then stays lite in view. The instructions are to put your full foot on the scale push down the release. This sets the scale. Then step on the scale as you would any other scale for weight reading.I like the wide size so that both my feet fit on the scale without my being off balance. The numbers are big & easy to read.

I started weightloss shots a little bit ago. Insurance requires weekly weight check-ins to stay on the medication because of the cost. I have to hit milestones or show progress in order to stay on it. This scale is very accurate. There is only a 1lb difference between my doctor's scale and this one. No specific way to tell if either is exact, but close enough to be accurate enough. I put a 25lb weight on it (with a towel to protect it) and it came in at 25.3Lbs. So, I have to say pretty accurate.It is sleek, looks nice in any place. Easy to store or rest against the wall. I would not hesitate to tell someone to buy this. The only concern I would have is if you are extremely over weight whether it could handle. I was 265 when I started and had no issue or concern. But it feels like it is made of tempered glass, so there is a chance at some point it shatters.

decided on this scale and so glad I did, reads quickly it is bigger than our old one just by a little but that little really matters you can stand on it with out feeling unstable. I am 72 and just love this sale. very accurate, fast, and sleek looking. worth the money

I bought this bc it was clear which matched the aesthetic of my home. I've had this product for a little over a year now and it's been working perfectly. The glass is actually sturdy (no, I haven't thrown my weight scale), but I have picked it up, put it down a little harsh (not on purpose), or moved it w/ my foot so I could clean and it hasn't broken, chipped or anything. It's super easy to clean as well.

This scale replaces an old, similar-style glass scale. It is smaller and lighter than my old one, but definitely less expensive and not full of digital features I don't need. I find it easy to store on a shelf (I do not leave it upright against anything for fear of breaking). I am satisfied the readings are acceptably accurate because they do vary week-to-week and reflect how heavy I am feeling. I do recommend handling this scale with care, though, because it is lightweight and seems fragile.

I’ve had it for 10 months, use it every morning and it’s really helped me manage and reduce weight. The scale measures a lot of things in addition to weight. The weight is the key measurement for me but there are a number of other measurements like body fat, bone mass, skeletal muscle, metabolic age, etc, etc. Note that all foot scales are not very accurate for these measurements but they may be taken directionally, to show how you are trending. These extra measurements bring awareness to me on other things I need to focus on and consider, other than weight.I confirm the weight to be very accurate. Regarding the other non-weight metrics… they are not likely accurate but don’t let this review stop you from buying the scale since only a Dexa Scan can accurately capture these advanced metics accurately. All foot scales will be suspect as they only measure 2 point (only the feet). Foot scales can be less accurate than other types of scales because they only measure your feet, not your entire body.The app is great. The scale automatically knows when it’s me vs my girlfrind using the scale and sends my weight and metics to my app. The scale sends her weight to her app. My full 10 month history is in the app and I can see when I’ve gained and lost weight over the year and it helps me to see that weekends I tend to gain the weight (from bad eating habits) so I can determine cause and effect.The app sends my information to my Apple iPhone Health app and the IPhone shares my weight with my other fitness tracking apps. This is very cool and helps me plot my weight, with other app metrics of sleep, exercise exertion, step count all in one place.In 10 months I’ve had to charge the scale only twice.Overall, I love the scale. It’s key tool for my weight and health.

Sleek, Accurate, and Inexpensive
This is an inexpensive weight scale with a sleek design. It is accurate: the weight this scale gave was the same (or approximately the same) as the weight obtained by the weight scale in my doctor's office.

This Etekcity scale is great. Large, clearly visible and easy to read numbers, fast display, large stable surface. Especially good for older or visually impaired or balance challenged. Slender, sleek and attractive.
