My daughter has been hinting that she has wanted a snow-cone machine for a while, but I didn't consider it very practical since we have a blender. I saw this one from Cuisinart and decided to take a chance. Well...I regret...not getting this sooner. She uses it several times a week and it makes perfect snow cones. It's easy enough to use and easy to clean, so it is certainly more practical than using a blender for making shredded ice. It seems to be built with quality, which is why I purchased Cuisinart in the first place. The holding tray holds PLENTY of ice to make like 6 cones at a time. If you are on the fence, get it.

We have rented a commercial sno cone machine for kids birthday parties for the last 3 years. At $50 per rental, we’ve paid $150 to own nothing. I saw this for $60 and bought it for this years party. Well, the party was yesterday and I did over 70 sno cones in this on a 90 degree summer day. Kids and parents alike both enjoyed it. I found it just as easy to use as the commercial rental and even smarter. The sensor on the ice pusher (down into the grinder blade) only allows the blade to activate if the pusher is in the cylinder, preventing little fingers from ever getting injured. This machine was a hit, with several parents saying they too were going to purchase one. I found that I was grinding about 3 cylinders worth of ice before I started making snow cones, and I got into a good rhythm.70 snow cones in one day, no issues, worked great, definitely worth the purchase! I’m happy we will have this for future parties saving us money. Buy this! Don’t rent!

This is a very easy to operate ice shaving machine, and it produces nice "snow-like" ice shavings. We made snow cones for the kiddos, and adult beverages for the grownups. I like the large capacity of the collection bin. The included plastic cones & scoop work just OK, but we prefer to use small dessert cups instead. The only downside is the size... doesn't fit on the shelf I had intended to store it in my kitchen, so make sure you measure your space!

Oh sooo good! I have wanted a snowcone for years, and a good machine to bring back those memories of ice bliss! So I got this-I'm in love! This thing came well packed, and works so good! It's easy to use and clean, and even looks so cool! It shaves the ice just like I remember from the past, and comes with a scoop that is the perfect size to scoop the ice to the cone. It has a flip down snow cone holder that I did not fully appreciate until I needed to put the snow cone down! It comes with good quality plastic cones, and some paper ones. The only problem I had was trying to decide which flavor I wanted! You will need to buy the syrup separately. And I tried to stack the ice too high on the cone like an icecream cone, that did not work out too well. Now I know why I have never seen one like that-the ice falls when you go to eat it. This this is seriously fun, and makes the snow cones fast with a large holder for the ice. If you want a good machine without spending hundreds, this is it!

I've used this for a few months now and I am very satisfied with it. Previously I had a pos from another manufacturer and it didn't have enough power to cut up the ice cubes. No worries here, this one cuts through the ice with plenty of power. Just be patient, don't put too much pressure on the handle and it will work great for you. You can go out and buy a top quality one at a much higher price but for making sno cones for the grandkids on the weekends this one is plenty good.

Once you get to know your machine its easy from there. Affordable. Fast. No leaking. Theres noise but your dealing with ice. Perfect for hot days, parties, special treats, keep hydrated etc. Use koolaid instead of syrup if u need to cut costs. Cups instead of paper cones. If i had room on my counter it would stay out 24/7. I love it. My gkids do too. All ages can help make it with supervision.
Super impressive
I was unsure of whether this would be a waste of money , the last sno cone machine I had was the Snoopy Sno Cone Machine. This ended up exceeeding my expectations . Kids and adults love it ! Makes great cones and very little cleanup !

easy to use for more Han one serving. Easy clean up.
Works easy and well. Can do several servings at once. Only real part to clean is the clear plastic box that holds the ice after shaved. Can do an ice cube tray full of ice at a time. Then easily add another and then another til quantity required. safety feature, won't work if handle that pushes ice down to blades is out of the chute. Will only work when handle is pressed down in closed position to shave the ice.
