Lansinoh TheraPearl 3-in-1 Breast Therapy Packs provide hot or cold pain relief again and again for tender, overworked breasts. Simply pop them in the microwave or freezer – no boiling required. Use hot therapy to relieve clogged ducts and mastitis. Heat one pack at a time using the enclosed directions. Once warm, place in the soft cover and apply to your breast. Use cold therapy to relieve engorgement. To use as ice packs, place in the freezer for 4 hours prior to first use. Once cold, place in soft cover and apply to your breast. Pads can also be stored in the refrigerator. Use as a breast pump aid to encourage let-down and spend less time pumping. I use these pads as a heat compress to help yield a greater letdown while pumping, and I've found them to be very useful for that purpose. They fit well around my pump flanges and can be snapped in place to prevent slipping, which is especially helpful for holding the pump parts in place when using a hands-free pumping bra. My only complaint is that they are limited in how warm they can become. The instructions say to microwave them a maximum of 25 seconds, and can only do so in 5-10 second intervals. For this reason they can be a pain to heat up and I I've found that 25 seconds really doesn't get them as warm as I would like. Would be so much better if I could heat them 30-45 seconds and all in one round, rather than doing multiple 10 second bursts. Oh well. It's inconvenient, but ultimately they do their job, so overall I'm happy.

This item arrived quickly and was well packaged. (These would have come in handy when I was breast feeding many years ago.) I recently had breast reduction surgery and the rectangle gel pack that I was using was way too heavy. While the product works well with pain and swelling, they are way too small. I wish they had different size options for women that are going to use post surgery. I keep them in the vegetable crisper and the temperature is perfect and not too cold. (I don’t use them for heat because that is not a good idea during post surgery.) Please make larger sizes.

I like these! I don’t use them as much as i thought i would but they are very relaxing to lay with on, but be prepared because your milk will start flowing with the heat compress lol. The soft covering is good for my skin and not irritating material, but it is a bit thick so you do have to get the inserts very hot in order to feel it through the covers. Also, be careful that the inserts are microwaved SEPERATE! That was not stated in directions so i put them both in at the same time and the plastic melted them together a bit. They pulled apart fine and no rips in the inserts thankfully but just be mindful to microwave one at a time. All in all, would buy again and great for sore breasts and let down

When cold, these are AH-MAZ-ING! The chill feels so good after a good breastfeeding or pump session. I haven't used them for the heat just yet, but I look forward to seeing if it helps while pumping.Oh, and I didn't realize the packs came with their own covers. That was a happy surprise!

I’ve only used these cold. They feel great when first on but they do not stay cold long at all. Regular ice packs or a bag of peas would do the job better.
