5.0 out of 5 stars This is very sturdy.
I had high hopes for this stand. And I was Not disappointed. This stand is strong, balanced and easy to use and store. 5 stars!
5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, you can mount Electronic Dartboard
Like so many others, I wanted a portable mount for my Electronic Dartboard. I took a chance on this one because it has 4 legs instead of the usual 3, and its board mount allowed more stability. The gamble paid off. The dartboard itself weighs approximately 15 pounds, and I used 1x4 western red cedar for the mount frame. I bolted the frame to the dartboard mount using 1/4“ dia by 1.5" long bolts, nuts, and washers on both sides. The 3 holes in the metal mount are a cat hair shy of 1/4“, so I easily drilled them to 1/4".With the feet fully extended, I have no problem getting the bullseye 5'7" from the floor. It's very stable, with only a tiny shake when a dart hits the board. When I say "stable", it's not going to fall over or lean at all! That said, I would not do this unless you extend the 4 legs fully. The mount is heavier than I thought it would be, which is a good thing. The adjustment for height accuracy can be a little tough for 1 person, but easy with 2 people. A tightening allen wrench is included and is easy to keep in the magnetic tray.In conclusion, if you've the skills to build a support frame, then this stand will do the trick for your electronic dartboard. Highly recommended!
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality sturdy stand
Yes this is the one. It's easy to adjust and it's high quality.
5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive, but worth it!
This thing is very sturdy! I was sequestered at work for almost two months. I ordered this half way through because my supervisor didn't want us putting holes in the walls. I might not ever use it again, but for that second month of being trapped at work, this stand gave us hours of enjoyment with darts. Definitely worth the money.I actually found that using the brace against a wall to the side of the stand/dartboard worked better than the back. Depending on how hard you throw the dart, the board would wiggle ever so slightly. With the brace to the side, it kept it from wiggling left to right and more front to back. Vice versa if you used the brace to the back. We used this in a corner of an office, so we had options. I guess it could be better if two upper braces were included and you used it in the corner of a room. Either way, this thing saved the day for us!
4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy stand for a no-drill setup, difficult to rotate and level board
Overall, I'm very pleased with this stand. It's extremely sturdy; plus, the equipment tray and stabilizer bar are nice touches. My only complaint, it requires three screws in the back of the board, so if you are rotating on a regular basis this becomes inconvenient. It's also difficult to level the board without the rota-lock.My recommendation; install the board only with the center screw first, rotate until the board is level, mark the adjacent holes with a Sharpie, then remove the board and install the final two screws.
5.0 out of 5 stars Question for Winmau
Purchased one of these in the Spring. Works great. However I would like to be able to swap between using a Standard Board and a Practice Board/Champions Board. Any possibility that the Fixing Plate could be purchased separately or a different plate made available that is compatible with the quick switch mounting brackets/pucks? Thanks.
5.0 out of 5 stars Way better than I expected!
I want to be a dart player but we don’t have anywhere to mount a dart board on a permanent basis. Ordered this stand and am really impressed with the quality and construction. We chose not to mount the dart board on the stand and used an Bolo mount that allows the board to be removed easily. So the stand is very easy to store, and it’s very stable to use. Packaging was good, with instructions that made assembly very easy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, supports weight, quality components, minimal movement during play.
We mounted a 9.5lb dart backboard (Dart Stop - got the 36" instead of the 29" and would highly recommend) and the Winmau dart board. This stand easily holds the weight of both. Little to no movement when playing, slight movement when you pull the darts out. Made of sturdy and solid quality components. Only downside is the 4 leg stand (rather than a tripod) - it provides more stability, but cannot be put against a wall, it sticks out into the room.
Highly recommended
Excellent quality and delivered as advertised.
Excellent product
Was very dubious about buying a stand for a dart board, but after not wanting to hang it on a wall and turn said wall into Swiss cheese through our horrendous ability at darts, I looked at the reviews and took the plunge. I am very impressed, it is very sturdy and barely moves at all. It is exceptionally easy to assemble with very easy instructions. I highly recommend!
