Love these honey candies as a small sweet treat and for soothing a scratchy throat. The liquid honey center is a wonderful surprise to get to.

Purchased these because they are a beloved candy from childhood, and it has been decades since I had them. From memory, delicious (and I love honey), so my flavor rating is based on that, as I was unable to eat it. I have Celiac, so I have to be 100% gluten-free. The listing says gluten-free.Today, went to have one, and fortunately, just before eating, I looked at the ingredients. Warning: Contains wheat (less than 20 parts per million). The ingredient in question - glucose syrup (from wheat). There is debate on whether this is safe for Celiacs and completely gluten-free - most sources say okay, but as someone who is extremely sensitive, I was not willing to take the chance.Technically, there are no refunds on this, but Bolo was willing to give my money back - especially since the image of the product (did not show wheat as an ingredient) and what I received were not the same (see picture). I would not have purchased it if I had seen the wheat warning.If you are gluten-free or sensitive to wheat, you will have to make your own decisions.My rating of 4 is a combination of the memory of this being one of my favorite candies and the disappointment when I read the label - mostly so that I can get this information up for others who may have similar concerns so can make informed decision.
