These timers are great value for the price. I was originally getting a different 2-pack set of timers from the same manufacturer, after reading many reviews on several different brands of timers, but then at the last minute, decided to look for an option where the prongs were on the side, rather than the front. Luckily, this brand also carried this option, and I only skimmed some reviews before ultimately purchasing this item. It was a good choice: it's compact, the plug from my electronic device fits into the side without taking up more room in front, it is easy to set the timer, and it is relatively quiet. One downside thus far: as other reviewers have pointed out, it has gotten louder as time passes. I have experience with timers, and generally, over the years, the older the timer is, the louder it gets. However, only about 1.5 months has passed since I started using this timer, and I already notice the sound - that is a very short time period for it to have gotten increasingly louder. That said, it is not loud enough to be a bother yet, and hopefully it remains that way for some time to come. I have only been using one thus far, the other one has not yet been tested.UPDATE: The timer has gotten noticeably louder. I have been using it for 1.5 year, and it has been very audible for at least the last 6 months. That said, it is not annoying even when the house is quiet, and very easy to ignore, but it can be heard through the wall into the next room too.

I am in love with these timers! I bought them a year ago for some Christmas lights hang in my windows, at the time I only had two windows with lights, this year I expanded and got a Christmas tree. I love these timers, however they might not be for everyone meaning you may need to keep the instructions around just to remember how to set the times, its easy to figure out if you give yourself 5 minutes to mess around with them but I keep the instructions in the box I keep them in just in case. You are able to pick times up to every 30 minutes which I definitely appreciated. The second thing is because they are a timer, they literally sound like a timer meaning there is constant clicking, it isn't too loud but if you're sensitive to sound you will definitely hear all the clicking all day, everyday. But I do not mind, I do not hear them unless I am listening closely or their is dead silence. Another issue you may run into is the positioning of the outlet on the side of the timer, it would have been nice if there was an outlet on either side of the timer rather than just one side because you either have to do some maneuvering or planning on where your plug in is going to be located, the majority of mine became a close, tight fit or inconvenient to where it covered up several outlets on my power strip. But I made it work and I am still very happy with how convenient they are. Highly recommend for quick, easy timers needed.

2nd time trying from this company. This is a Pin and pull method, but it's not accurate. If you press 8:00-8:30 you must accept that it will come on anytime in that time period. It is not always going to come on at 8:00 or 8:30. This might be ok for some, but you have to be happy with the period, not the exact time. If you're happy with that, it seems like a well made product, but I need the accuracy

EDIT4: BACK to 5 stars. This company won't rest until your happy. Seriously, these guys are no joke. They responded to my review within 6-12 hours and made it right. I would buy these products for the customer service alone.EDIT 3: I love this company. They really stand behind their products. The replacement works appropriately, but I have stopped using the unit. I pride myself for a zen & quiet environment. Unfortunately, when it's working the timer has a very very VERY audible buzzing/"churning" noise. Other reviewers saying the same thing. I can actually hear it across my large living room. In hindsight, I wish I had purchased the digital version of their timer. :(EDIT2: Manufacturer reached out to me and sent replacements shipped via USPS almost immediately. Excellent customer service. They deserve +2 stars just for that. Will add 5th if product works as advertised.EDIT: Added final 5th star. Replacement repair Century sent works beautifully. I donated the other to charity and we are very happy. Excellent product. Simple to use. Most importantly, excellent customer service!I was hoping for an easy-to-use timer when I bought this item without the complications of the electronic ones.Some thoughts:1) The construction seems very shoddy; much less quality looking than the pictures show. When you are pulling pins out, it feels like they are going to literally pull OUT of the device.2) I think I got a pair of defective timers; The alam is set properly and stays that way, but the time keeps drifting away from what I set it. I watched videos, read the instructions.. I am doing it right!

These might be the "mouse trap" of light controllers. I'm not sure how you improve upon them. So simple to set. Just pull or push the little tabs on the wheel to get the time frame you want it to be on/off. For those with arthritis like me, you can just use an ice pick or anything with a skinny firm tip (the tabs are quite small). Adjusting for DST is as simple as pulling or pushing in a tab or two. Easy breezy. No batteries to deal with. The manual override sits right on top in case you need that light on before it triggers (assuming this unit is not behind a couch, table, or something, of course). Super affordable. Ok so you can't adjust it via an app on your phone but, in this case, I don't need that nor do I care to ever have it if the operation is this simple and hassle free.

Al querer programarlo se le salieron 3 patitas y me costó trabajo ponerlas en su lugar.... Solo recomiendo que saquen las patitas sin mucha fuerza ya que se salen fácilmente ....por lo demás está bien
