5.0 out of 5 stars Great for skiing
I opt for this when I don’t want to use a balaclava while skiing, Keeps my neck warm, and my hair can sit on top of it so I don’t get an itchy neck.No smell and has held up really well in my washer.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good.
It has a breathing spot around the mouth area, and works pretty good in cold weather. For the price, I think it is a pretty good deal.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fits mostly comfortably and reasonably priced
I always wondered why they didn’t design balaclavas without the head part — that I don’t like wearing because it electrifies and messes up my hair for the rest of the day — and with a strap to hook it into the ears, and voila, this is exactly that product. This half balaclava is perfect for sunny cold temperatures when it doesn’t get so biting cold that you would need to cover even your head to keep every bit of heat from escaping. I usually get much colder in the ears and face anyway. It’s also useful for ear and face protection while cycling in fall with a highly ventilated summer helmet that doesn’t cover the ears.It is not that useful or comfortable as a gaiter if you are using a skiing or snowboarding helmet that already has ear as well as head protection. A soft high quality wool gaiter is much more comfortable in that scenario. This half balaclava is made of synthetic material and feels fine (but understandably not as nice as high quality merino that would also be more expensive). One issue with this half balaclava is that if you need to pull down (and keep pulled down) the nose covering portion to breathe more freely for some times, the ear sleeves don’t hold firmly and might slip over and down the ears. It is however reasonably stable if instead of pulling down the nose covering portion, you fold it downward. I was even able to fold it twice over downward to uncover both my nose and lips. Your mileage may vary depending how snugly this one size-fits-all item fits your face.Overall, I found it pretty decently functional as advertised and reasonably priced.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent running mask for cold Michigan weather
Mr. MVP is running in 15 to 20 degree weather and as the winter progresses he will be running in 0 degree weather. He really needed something to protect his face from the cold air. I looked everywhere for a solution and most products were just too complicated. He already has a skull cap he loves, so this face mask from Tough Headwear looked ideal. After his run this morning Mr. MVP said that this worked perfectly. He does wear glasses and he knows that he is going to have issues no matter what he does, so he just eventually took his glasses off. He could not get his glasses to stop fogging up. His face was warm, his head was comfortable in his skull cap and his run was pleasant.Mr. MVP is a big guy and this mask fit him very nicely. It did not fall down and did not require any tugging or adjusting while he was running. I tried the mask on when it first arrived and I'm about half his size (128 pounds vs 240 pounds) and it fit me as well, but I'm not certain it would stay up if I was running. Walking yes, but running, I'm not sure.I will update this review if this mask holds up to weekly washing and line drying.
3.0 out of 5 stars It squashes my nose.
There is a relief sewn in for the chin but not for the nose. This is puzzling to me. It's well made but uncomfortable. I attached a photo of it laying flat.Pros:1. The ear pockets are great. It only catches the top of your ear but that keeps it from sliding down.2. Well made of nice warm material.3. A vent panel at your mouth.Cons:1. Uncomfortable. It squashed my nose. I don't have a particularly prodigious nose... Not this (to quote)None of the following describes my nose, to quote from the play Cyrano de Bergerac, by Edmond Rostand.CYRANO:Ah no! young blade! That was a trifle short! You might have said at least a hundred thingsBy varying the tone. . .like this, suppose,. . .Aggressive: 'Sir, if I had such a noseI'd amputate it!' 5.0 out of 5 stars Good fit, works well
The material, fit, and quality are great. I like that it covers the ears and they work well with glasses. I'm getting extra use out of it by using it while riding my motorcycle that has a tiny windshield which means a lot of wind on my upper body and neck. This makes a huge difference. My neck doesn't get cold from the wind riding at highway speeds.
5.0 out of 5 stars Warm and comfortable.
As warm as it looks. I used it for running in the winter for below freezing temps and it came through just perfect. I took it to a glacier in Iceland and I felt nothing while looking good at the same time. Good buy!
4.0 out of 5 stars Gets the job done
I live in Michigan and Colorado. Two places with two types of cold. It's a small challenge to find the right fit, but once you do it's golden. Wish it were more wide at the bottom like a baklava but that's my only gripe. It fits well enough and doesn't slide down much which is a plus. Kept my neck and face plenty warm.
Pleasantly surprised it is a great product.
Very pleased with the neck warmer. It is very warm without being bulky. Earflaps are helpful in keeping it up. Also love the breathing mess. You can use in very cold weather without getting frosted up or wet.
Llevo 1 mes usándola
Exelente producto, de buena calidad y no te abochorna de calor, se ajusta muy rápido y es muy buen material
Bad quality
Product quality is not Good...
Very good in cold weather
Arrived next day price was also a good. The quality of the material is really nice. Fits nicely on your face. Only one slight problem is if you’re wearing your glasses they do huff up on the lens. It’s excellent product just going to try and adjust it on my face.
