Dukes is the best, hands down. Less sweet than Helman's and use of cider vinegar instead of white vinegar makes the difference.

Believe me when I tell you that this is the PERFECT mayonnaise. Whether you have been a lifelong Kraft or Hellman’s/Best Foods mayonnaise user and lover, as Dukes’ says on their yellow top, ‘It’s Got Twang.’ And so it does.It does have a little more lemony flavor to it. Not much; not a little; not even a tad; and certainly not even a thumbnail amount; but, just the right amount that would please even Momma Bear of Three Bears fame. It’s thick, rich and creamy.I don’t have the words that add up to the superlative quality of this mayonnaise. I doubted it would win me over—me, a mayonnaise lover all my 75+ years. I love mayonnaise so much that I used to ask my mother to make me mayonnaise sandwiches. I lived in a Kraft Mayonnaise family. As an adult I switched to Hellmans Mayonnaise because my wife was a Hellmans groupie.Then just six months ago I tried Duke’s and like, WOW! I was truly overwhelmed. I asked myself why didn’t I know about this years ago! I have been ordering this from Bolo Fresh for four months. It sells out so quickly I have to purchase two or three of the 48 oz. jars at a time.Try it because I guarantee you will never go back to what you have been using all the years before Duke’s.

My family down south has raved about this for years. It finally became available to up north. It's delicious, it's rich, It's really creamy but the tang thing is kind of off putting to me. Old dog, new trick kinda thing for me. I'll stick with my Hellmanns.

This stuff is in a league of its own. Hellmans is (was) probably the best tasting mayonnaise out there, then came Dukes! The difference between a best foods or other standard brand mayonnaise and Dukes is night and day. This stuff has a super creamy texture and the flavor is indescribable. I copied the following paragraph from “the kitchen chalkboard” website: “So what makes Duke’s so great? …Mayonnaise is a pretty simple recipe with only a few ingredients.Both Dukes and Hellmans contain Soybean oil, eggs, and salt. Duke’s mayonnaise contains a combination of distilled and cider vinegar, while Hellman’s only contains distilled vinegar which makes Duke’s tangier. Hellman’s also contains lemon juice concentrate and sugar. Duke’s is the only mass-produced mayonnaise that does NOT include sugar. The company is quite proud of this fact. Duke’s mayonnaise does NOT taste like Hellman’s! It’s a bit tangier (in a good way), smoother, and creamier. The extra flavor likely comes from the combination of apple cider and distilled vinegar.”I originally bought because a recipe for an aioli demanded Dukes only so I bought a small jar. That was it! Now I’m hooked. Excellent on sandwiches and salads, of course, but absolutely necessary for burgers and for fries (ditch the ketchup). And, surprise, a fantastic substitute for Mexican crema on tacos.
