5.0 out of 5 stars Top flight pedals
These pedals are a high-end option that caters to cyclists looking for top-notch performance. There are several aspects to consider when evaluating these pedals. One of the standout features of the pedals is their lightweight design. Shimano has done an excellent job of constructing these pedals with materials that minimize weight without compromising durability. The reduced weight contributes to an overall improvement in bike performance and allows for faster and more efficient pedaling.Additionally, these pedals have a low profile, which is beneficial for riders who prioritize aerodynamics. The sleek design helps to reduce drag, especially at high speeds, resulting in a more efficient riding experience. One advantage of the PD-R9100 pedals is their serviceability. Shimano is known for producing components that are easy to maintain, and these pedals are no exception. They can be disassembled and serviced, ensuring longevity and optimal performance throughout their lifespan.Furthermore, these pedals offer an enhanced pedal feel, allowing me to have better control and connection with my bike. This improved tactile feedback can be especially valuable during intense rides or competitive events, where every bit of responsiveness matters. However, one aspect that cannot be ignored is the high price tag. They are undeniably expensive, and the investment required may not align with everyone's budget or priorities. Considering the significant cost, riders might find it more beneficial to allocate those funds elsewhere, such as upgrading other components of the bike or investing in specialized training programs for greater overall performance gains.these pedals offer a range of desirable features, including their lightweight construction, low profile, serviceability, and improved pedal feel. However, the high price point might cause pause, especially when considering the potential for greater gains by investing in other areas of your cycling setup. Ultimately, the decision to purchase these pedals will depend on an your specific needs, preferences, and available budget. I'm wholly happy with these pedals
5.0 out of 5 stars I received the +4mm version.
These pedals are everything you expect. If you are looking at these then you prob already know what you are considering buying, but just an FYI I received the PD-R9100 234g version that is +4mm. I'm ok with this due to the fact that I have a size 46.5 shoe, but if I was a smaller rider, I'd prob wish I had the regular 228g version. That said, I know they are expensive, but I figure, buy once, cry once. These will perform awesome and should last long enough to get your money's worth and then some. These saved 4oz (1/4lb) in weight over my old SPD pedals and are higher quality and smoother to boot.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very light and easy to clip in and out.
If you want very light and functional pedals, these will fit the bill .Although at the upper end on price, they are worth the money in terms of performance. They are easy to adjust for proper tension and they seem to be very durable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Recycling excellence
If you want quality pedals for your racing bike it's a must have looks beautiful on your bike and it rides great comfortable on your feet it's a must-have for any cycle
5.0 out of 5 stars SHIMANO PD-R9100 Top Road Bike Pedal
The carbon pedals are lightweight and work really nice, but unless you are a professional racer looking to save every ounce you may want to buy alloy pedals for less than half the price, the weight difference isn't that much. Nothing a weekend warrior would notice.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the best
If you want the best road pedals of all time. Look no further.Switched from a Look Keo Blade and I have never looked back. Light and easy to clip and unclip. As well as durable.
5.0 out of 5 stars For the cyclist who are fanatics about their bike
Top of the line product with a top of the line price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid choice for SPD SL pedals.
I haven't had these on for very long, but they seem very well made and built to last. I'll update if I should find that impression changes (I doubt I will). All I can say is, why oh why did it take so long for me to get clipless pedals???? For those who have used clipless before, what follows isn't news to you. For those who are considering the change, read on. I cannot believe the difference in power! My average speed increased by 5mph and my heart rate was actually lower overall on my first ride with these. I'm actually able to use all of my leg/hip/core muscles on hills. I had previously had the toe cages in my flat pedals, which do allow for some pull (not just push) power, but the lateral movement and flexible shoes really swallow up a ton of power. Clipless eliminate all of that waste, and these are relatively easy to get used to.
Seriously, only 1 pedal in box.
Box had both left and right baggies in it however right bag didn't have a pedal in the baggie. So frustrating that stuff like this happensm Shimano wouldn't have done this so it was either the seller or someone returned it with only 1 pedal.
Excellent
Great service and great pedal
