I love this tallow, it's a wonderful and versatile product that I use for cooking and making tallow balm. There is a beefy smell but that's to be expected for a primarily cooking tallow. Definitely adds great flavor to dishes as well.

Great product, been a fan of the brand for awhile. Started cooking with tallow again and its made cooking in my stainless steel pan so much easier since this can handle higher heats than olive oil for example. Adds a nice feeling of satiety to food, and I feel good when I eat it.

The jar was wrapped in bubble wrap and with the jar intact, but the tallow was melted and leaked inside the bubble wrap. Not sure how much product was lost.As far as the tallow itself goes the quality seems good and the smell is not too strong, as I used it for making homemade sunscreen.

I recommend product in tact and it’s been every thing it claims to be. I’m not sure what people expect when they say it has a weird smell, it smells like beef fat!! I’m not sure why some people expect it smell like lotion or something. I’m overall satisfied with my purchase I will be buying again when I run. They packed my jar in bubble wrap and paper so if Bolo keeps packing like then they won’t waste the company’s product like they have in a lot of these review I see FYI I use this as a skin product I have not consumed this product. I failed to take a pic when I received it but this a picture of the jar and size of you were wondering refrigerate after opening this is not shortening.

I saw a viral video on using beef tallow on your face; so I gave it a try. It’s been few weeks now and my face looking smoother and well moisturized. Highly recommend. I wash my face and put it in at bed time. Does not cause breakouts for me.

I bought three jars of Epic Beef Tallow. At least one of the jars leaked during shipping costing me at least 1/4cup of tallow. Two of the lids were not sealed when they arrived (the jar lid flexed and was not vacuumed tight to the jar). One jar was undamaged. I compared the scent and texture of the two unsealed jars to the sealed jar. They all seemed the same. Since I bought this primarily to use to make body lotion (tallow is the only thing that helps my eczema plagued skin) and tallow is shelf stable at room temperature, I decided not to hassle with sending it back. Unfortunately, the beef smell of this is very strong and the texture is clumpy like coconut oil. It melts in your palm, but it does not have a silky texture, though it does soak in eventually. I far prefer the Chicago Packers Beef Tallow for lotion, which is white in color and has the texture of Crisco.I used the Epic Beef Tallow to grease my cast iron pans and for cooking. In that way, it works fine and is as good as any other fat, but as stated, the beef smell is strong, so I wouldn't use it for a sweet recipe or something like biscuits.All said, I will use the jars that I already purchased, but I will not be buying this again. I have already bought another container of beef tallow from Chicago Packers to use as lotion.
