5.0 out of 5 stars The Ruffwear Grip Trex Dog Boots are absolutely amazing!
These outdoor booties provide incredible protection for my dog’s paws, especially during hiking and running on rough terrain. The rubber soles offer excellent traction, and I’ve noticed my dog has more confidence and stability while wearing them. They’re durable, stay securely in place, and are easy to put on and take off. Plus, they don’t bother my dog at all, which is a big win! Whether it’s hot pavement, rocky trails, or snowy conditions, these boots keep his paws safe and comfortable. Highly recommend for any active dog owner!
5.0 out of 5 stars Best shoes ever
We hike every day and, in the southwest mountains, it gets really hot and there are often red ants on trails.Unlike the other dogs in our pack, she wears these and has never been bitten. She is able to freely move and maintains traction on various terrain. They are really easy to use, getting on and off. We haven't tested the waterproof function, but these feel very durable and despite running in circles, playing, and hiking the grip is still new, months later. The only thing I would change is to make them more breathable--it gets hot during the summer and her paws are very sweaty after using. Dust from trails gets inside, so I would question the waterproof ability.Make sure they are on flat and tight. They haven't fallen off except during our first use.Tip to help them get used to the shoes: immediately after putting them on start playing with their favorite toy. We put the toy away for a few days and pulled it out once the shoes were on. She instantly forgot about the shoes and started running and walking normally.Unlike Mukluks, these don't have a natural feel sole, so they feel weird to the dog. Playing helps them go over that before they form an opinion about them. She associates the shoes with fun times and adventures.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, but not for us
These are really well made and the grip on the bottom was nice as well. My dog has dew claws that are unfortunately at a bad height for these. We went on a really easy trail to test them out and they kept slipping right under her dew claws. Even when you pull the Velcro tight. So we're returning them. Not going to size up because this shoe was perfect for her pad size.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Color and Quality product
Purchased these for one of our dogs to help protect a split pad. They fit as described. Love the bright colors.
1.0 out of 5 stars I wouldn’t buy this product.
The media could not be loaded. The shoes do stay on very well .. I tested them three times. Twice on a one mile walk, and once on a mile and a half run. I thought they worked great considering they did not come off..However after our run.. I checked his feet and noticed his knuckles were bleeding and raw. I then checked the shoes and found blood stains and his paw hair covering the bottom of the shoe. This was only after three uses. I would be careful if buying. I’m glad I caught it when i did because it could’ve been so much worse. (My phone wouldn’t focus on the bottom part so that’s the best I could do for hair picture)
3.0 out of 5 stars I really can’t. Say to much
Firstly they were way too big for my dog so they were returned. But I must say they are solidly made, a bit heavy for my 10 pound dog. These are the foot ware that are recommended by the trainers of true therapy dogs. Therapy dogs are required to wear doggy shoes when needed. Here in Tucson that’s almost always.
5.0 out of 5 stars They’re awesome
My dog was a stray for a year and a half and this was her first pair of shoes. Obviously it took some getting used to but after a few minutes she’s walking fine in them. The soles thick enough to keep the thorns and the heat from the concrete out but thin enough she can move naturally in them. They’re really lightweight. They’re true to measurements. Easy to put on and they stay on when we go hiking. The only two things I don’t like is they take a couple days to break in and they irritated the tops of her paws but once they broke in they’re fine. The upper mesh is a little too thick for my liking my dogs paws get really sweaty in them but I live In Phoenix so I’m talking extremes of heat, I’m sure they’re good anywhere else.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love these shoes for my boy!
The media could not be loaded. I will start by addressing previous reviews showing paw injuries regarding the Grip-Tex booties.1st: Sizing. These shoes come in pairs of two. You will not receive 4 shoes for one order. This is important because paw sizes differ, sometimes pretty greatly, between the front and rear paws. Before ordering the shoes, I made sure to measure both paws while the paws were bearing weight. This will ensure you order the correct size of shoes. My dog wears a size 3 in the front and a size 2.75 in the back.2nd: Socks.Socks are super important when wearing these shoes. I ordered the Rypet Anti-Slip Dog socks to wear with these shoes vs. the ruff-wear socks. The ruff-wear socks are smaller than they advertise them and there's no grip. Socks help prevent friction from causing blisters on your dog's feet and the Rypet dog socks are long enough to go over the dew claws (at least for my dog). Not only that, they secure in place with velcro straps too.As for the shoe itself. When we received them, we noticed they were initially very hard (as any new shoe would be) but the rubber sole has become very flexible with usage. The rubber soles are made by Vibram, which is amazing since Vibrams are very long-lasting and are pretty popular in the hiking community for human shoes. This gives some security that you're not just ordering some random shoe with questionable reliability and quality assurance.Breathable material. I've attached some close-up pictures of the booties. They are very breathable which is great since dogs sweat through their paws.THEY DON'T FALL OFF! These shoes are pretty great when it comes to walking through the concrete jungle and they do not seem to bother my dog. He runs with them just fine as well. This may also be due to the anti-slip socks doing a little extra work and gripping the shoe better.Additionally, I also labeled each of his shoes after his first use to make sure his shoes are wearing comfortably to his step pattern. My dog no longer battles me when putting shoes on which might be his testament to the quality of these shoes.Do with this information as you will but this is a great investment for your best friend.
easy to wear and great material
Delivered on time and great fit for my retriever who is recovering from a foot operation and needs a good boot to protect her foot on walks and hikes. Great colour and so far easy to wear and use. I like the airflow as the winter boots are not as good for the summer or for her foot to continue to heal.
Costose ma migliori
Premetto che dipende dalle vostre esigenze. Ma avendone avute diverse, queste sono le migliori
Excellent quality boot
Arrived very quickly, attractive, excellently constructed boot with strong sole. Easy to put on our dogs foot and secure fit. Once our golden retriever got used to wearing it, it provided good protection. Didn't get chance to test waterproofness as it didn't rain before my review! Would recommend. Thank you
Super Qualität
Wir sind super zufrieden mit den Schuhen! Sie sitzen fest und verrutschen auch nicht. Unser Hund konnte direkt problemlos in den Schuhen losflitzen
