Original post with one star--"I received blutooth i-Pilot remote original package. It fails to pair with my MinKota Terrova. I follow the direction on MinKota website. I downloaded i-Pilot phone app which functions. I need suggestions."Update: I bought a second remote with the same problem. The motor was installed 2017. After looking on line and I remembered there was mention of "software update" on the remote found update instructions requiring the I-Pilot phone app. I did it and the problem solved.

I got caught in a rain storm while fishing. Remote was sitting on console and got soaked by rain. The remote got water behind the display screen and showed"RF Error"... also; be careful not to over tighten the battery cover screws.Had to purchase a replacement remote. Lesson Learned: Remote Is NOT Waterproof!!!! Keep it Dry!!!!!!
