I love my EWK Oil Extractor. Hooking it up to an Air Compressor that can do at least 80 PSI makes oil changes mess-free and done in about 10 minutes. The oil gets drained fast, especially when it is a little warm. The Unit is super easy to use, can hold well over 8L and makes doing oil changes on my 2012 BMW X5 a breeze. I never have to get under the car to do an oil change and can patiently drain all 8L of oil in about 5 minutes over the engine bay.The only advice or improvement I could make would be an easier and more comfortable method of draining. When it's full, it's heavy, and the pump handle makes it even more awkward to drain. I would like to see a faucet or drainage system that does not require lifting and leveraging the pump awkwardly downward to pour, as spills are very easy. A faucet located near the bottom would make this a perfect product. I would gladly review and recommend this to anyone and also advocate the purchase of an air-compressor if this product had an easy drainage method.

I did some research regarding oil extractors before I made this purchase. This comes with a venturi which creates a vacuum from pressure generated from an air compressor. One may also use the manual pump function, if you don't have a compressor (or you could just purchase a compressor, which you can use to inflate tires of all sizes, operate pneumatic tools, spray paint, blow air to clean many things). I was astonished to see how easy and complete the extractor functioned. Assembly took 3 minutes. I used it to extract oil on my Mercedes. Typically, the oil filters on European cars are visible under the hood. I've been driving this car up on ramps for years. But yesterday, I assembled the tool, (note: the main plug through which the oil drains into the extractor and through which one pours the oil into a container for recycling twists on counterclockwise); turned on the compressor, and the oil began to flow. In 5 minutes, I was ready to change the oil filter. Removed the cap from the canister, replaced the filter and o-rings, torqued down the cap, and measured the oil digitally from the dashboard. Done in minutes, with no oil spilled. (I found the oil drain plug location from a Youtube video). Mercedes doesn't really want you to know how easy this is. Mine is black in color, about 3" long and located toward the back of the engine on the passenger side, near where the transmission plug is located and just above the latter, which has a red dot. You can tell that you are extracting oil rather than transmission fluid by its color, smell, and feel. Replace plug, oil filler cap after filling with the appropriate oil. I love this device; I purchased the largest, since I plan to do multiple kids cars without draining. Smaller ones are quite a bit less. Extractor is sturdy, no fear of collapse under vacuum.

Works great on my Subaru. Easy setup. Very convenient to take the oil to recycle in it. No messy pouring into another container. Holds a complete oil change.

I used it twice, ones using manual and second using a compressor, it worked well for what I need. It’s easy to use. The quality seems to be good, the plastic seems to be thick. It can be better though, if the pump was smooth - I don’t know maybe because it’s still new, will it be smooth at some point after several used, I don’t know; the part that you step on to keep it steady when pumping it I wished they were two on them - not just one, to keep it stable, and I was he also came with flexible vinyl tubes like other brands not just the rigid tubes, and came with a tubing on the side of the container to store the rigid tubes like other cheaper brands.

I previously purchased the EWK 6L round manual only version. It works good, but I got tired of pumping. So, I purchased the 6.5L Pneumatic/Manual version and what a difference. It's so much better to just turn on the air and let it do it's thing. I used it first to drain 10 qts from a race car, which uses 20W-50 and it was overdue for a change. Point being, it was pretty dirty and really thick. Nonetheless, this pump drained the resevoir in about 20 minutes. I highly recommend this device.

I used this to drain the oil utilizing the dipstick location on my GLE350. I used my air compressor rather than the manual pump and it drained all 7L+ of oil in about 20-25 minutes. Best part, no messy drain plug or drip pan. The Mercedes filter is replaced on the top of the engine. Super easy and you won’t regret getting one of these.
WORKS AS IT SHOULD
I finally had opportunity to use this AWESOME oil extractor , IT WORKS real good and real fast. I regret not getting this one years ago, it beats my older manual pump one hands down for both speed and ease of use as well as oil capacity.I highly recommend this to anyone in need of a easy to use fast oil extractor !!
does the job beautifully.
Pulls the oil out with ease, left about 200 mls in my car, I'll accept that.It struggled on my wife's car, the tube would not reach the bottom of the sump but I've used a crap one of these before so I have silicon tube that I attached to the tube that came with the "sucker" It settles in the hot oil into the bottom of the pan, job done.No more fighting on the ground with a sump plug, I'm getting too old for that and I've got four (family) cars to look after.

Unbelievable, this is the best automotive tool by far, and a must for DIY mechanics.
This is absolutely the best automotive tool I have ever purchased. The only negative to this product is that the hoses are made of a harder plastic and become less malleable at colder temperatures, so be careful not to break them. Perhaps EWK can make a more flexible hose for those conditions. I found it helped to preheat the hoses to eliminate any memory in the bend from packaging.My only regret is that I did not purchase this a decade ago.Oil changes done in under 20 mins without going under the car. Looking forward to doing the other fluids. For those looking for a video review, ChrisFix on Youtube is where I first saw this product, he has a review of this item under his 2023 must have mechanic gifts. Great work EWK on this product, it is exeptional. I recommend to spend the money and get one of these.
