I bought this Styler/Trimmer twice. In Oct 2015 and May 2022. Here are my takeaways:1. WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT?What quality do you expect from Gillette? Top of the line, of course. The handle is rubberized plastic, easy to grip and non-slip. Even when using it underwater, as you can see on the photos, it still does not slip. Strong build, nothing ever breaks, it does not rust and no sharpening is necessary. It can literally last you a lifetime.2. HOW DOES THIS PRODUCT PERFORM?Performance is exceptional. As I mentioned before, no sharpening is necessary. It's exceptionally good for trimming close to the skin, without irritating the skin or cutting yourself. Since I got 2, I've been using one under the shower, and the other one for trimming my beard and trimming my neck hair.3. IS THE PRODUCT EASY TO USE?Needless to say, no instruction is necessary. I would advise buying a small bottle of lubricant (oil) and couple of times during a year, add 1 or 2 drops on the blades just to keep everything smooth. Additional combs you get in a set, are good for trimming your neck hair, but not too close to the skin.4. IS THE PRODUCT A GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY?For a $20 to $30 range you will not find a trimmer that will last you for 9 years, almost never cut you and does not require maintenance. I bought a rechargeable 1.5V, AA battery and I probably recharge it 4 to 5 times a year. I never tested it till the end, but probably the battery can last for 1,5 to 2 hours.5. WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO YOU?Well, with everything I described, I think it's pretty obvious that I'm planning to use these trimmers forever. Not to mention I've been using Gillette brand since the first time I shaved - 25 years ago. Highly recommend!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Companion for Gillette Fusion Blades (even if you don't have beard or mustache)
I've been a long-time user of Gillette Fusion Blades and have been generally satisfied. Recently I grew a mustache. The razor was barely ok for edging the mustache but I wanted something for trimming its length too. I nearly pulled the trigger on another trimmer but it seemed too expensive. Then I ran across this trimmer and decided to give it a try. After a few weeks use I can say I am very satisfied. Here is what I really like about it:1. You can use it without the Fusion Blade to trim the length of your beard/mustache (4 different settings).2. You can use it with the Fusion Blade which is where the magic begins. First, with blade inserted in the trimmer I get shaves even smoother than normal. But the best thing is you can use the Fusion Blade's built-in edger with the trimmer running to (for example) perfectly square the bottom of your sideburns, or edge your beard/mustache. It is amazing how the trimmer vibrating improves that edging blade's performance.3. I've been using the razor most every day for 3 weeks and haven't replaced the battery yet. I prefer that is uses a single AA battery rather than being rechargeable because I already have a AA charger and a bunch of AA NiCad batteries. I just find this more convenient for me. I don't have to leave the razor plugged in - I will just pop in a freshly charged battery when needed. I don't have to worry with taking yet another charger with me when I travel - just throw an extra battery in if I think it will be needed. If I forget the battery, AA's are available anywhere.What would I improve? Really, the only thing I was disappointed in was the packaging, which due to its design can't be used for conveniently storing/accessing the razor and its accessories. So, I just place all the pieces loose in a Tupperware container which is then stored in a bathroom drawer.

Single AA battery powered - lasts longer on rechargeable batteries than single use (not sure why) and battery capacity seems to diminish over time but very slowly - best and easiest beard and head shaver/trimmer
