The magnets did what I asked of them. Simple peel and stick. It's been three weeks since I stuck them on, they seem well-affixed. (I swiped the items with alcohol to ensure a clean bonding surface.) Only time will tell whether they continue to stick.Used four magnets on the back of a 11"x14" whiteboard (weight 9.4 oz.).Used four magnets on the back of a 9"x12" acrylic clipboard (weight 8.0 oz.).Used 18 magnets on the back of a 16"x20" calendar whiteboard (weight 2 lbs. 4.2 oz.). Note: 18 magnets were overkill, 16 would have done just as well ... possibly even 14 might have sufficed. (10 didn't work, the calendar tended to slide whenever it was jostled.)The magnets hold the above items very securely to any flat steel surface. I have no concerns about them shaking off or slipping down. They work in any position, even clinging upside down. And they may be removed without the need for an unreasonable amount of force. I specifically bought ferrite magnets instead of neodymium magnets for precisely that reason, neodymium magnets tend to be too strong. (Neodymium magnets stick so tightly to metal surfaces that the self-stick tape sometimes pulls off from the magnets.)For me, the 1 inch diameter ferrite self-adhesive magnets have proven to be the right balance between magnetic attraction and self-stick adhesion. 5 stars.

I purchased these adhesive magnets for a DIY project involving small, metal spice containers that I wanted to arrange onto the side of my refrigerator. These small magnets are substantial and strong! They were initially very easy to attach to the bottoms of the containers; the strength of the adhesive does not match the strength of the magnet, however. Several of the magnets (4 out of 24, so far) have detached and remained on the refrigerator when I tried to lift the spice containers from the fridge. The adhesive simply gave way because the magnetic pull to stay on the fridge was so strong! I've been fixing this problem by using superglue to keep the magnets attached.

I wanted to make a magnet out of Lego Dots and BaseplatesI was looking for something strong enough to hold up both the build and some sort of note on the refrigerator.I assumed I'd need to glue these to the back of the Baseplates, but it’s been two weeks and the magnet is still holding onto the baseplate just fine, and attached rather securely to the refrigerator.They are a bit bulkier than some, but I assume that's because the magnet actually works.ETA- Over two months later, and the adhesive is still holding up great!

Good strong magnets
Magnets are pretty strong but be careful it might scratch some stainless steel surface if you slide it.There is a slight layer of residue on it so get some cleaners and wipe it down before using and applying the backing tape.Photos shows VHB tape but the ones I got is blank,no indication of VHB lettering but its very strong adhesion though.
