This product likely saved my life. Firstly, I apologize for the lousy photos, it was the middle of the night and I was initially using the photos for my own documentation at the time. After a routine check up with my doctor, my SpO2/Bpm was noted to be low enough to suggest that I should start monitoring my levels at home so I bought this meter based on the positive reviews, affordability, manageable bad reviews (can take a while to detect a heart rate, but I could live with that for the cost) and the bright purple color option, but I had no idea just how useful this little gadget was going to be in my life. It was very easy to use right out of the packaging, straight forward to use - just click the button on put snugly on finger- exactly like any other pulse oximeter I’ve used, and it has worked very well over these past few months. I initially had my spouse use it after the first several days to verify It’s accuracy, especially if my numbers seemed off, since some of the negative reviews made me wary. It hasn’t given him any strange readings yet and detects his heart rate very quickly but his fingers are much thicker compared to mine.Recently, I woke up and felt so dizzy and exhausted I could barely stand up. I wasn’t gasping for air like a normal asthma attack but I had a severe headache, full-body muscle aches, my heart was pounding in my ears and I appeared VERY pale in the lips. The photos I added to this review were what the meter initially read and I verified the pulse with my own cardio stethoscope and by feeling my jugular. And just to be VERY sure, I purposely hyperventilated myself to watch for an increase in either number for sanity’s sake. Both readings in the images were taken 5 minutes apart and were, in fact, very accurate. Dangerously accurate. I thought at first that it might have been an error like the crazy readings I read about here in the negative reviews but it definitely wasn’t. I was able to start treatment immediately, but there would have been no way to know that I needed an immediate rescue inhaler without this meter in my own home so it has been an overall a great purchase, worth every cent.I highly recommend this meter for anyone who needs a reliable way of monitoring their pulse/O2 at home or even for clinical use. I have very short, slender fingers and sometimes it CAN take a while to get a reading but it has yet to time out or error on me and is just as accurate as the fancy schmancy one at my doctor’s office.

While in hospital I realized an oximeter would be a neccessity. Ordered and was home when I got there. It's light, simple to use, and love the color! The silicone cover will protect it and doesn't interfere with its use.

I wanted to test this finger pulse oximeter to compare its' accuracy to the machines used at the hospital I work for, but haven't yet had the opportunity. The box claims this device's accuracy in reading pulse and blood oxygenation saturation levels are anywhere from 70 to 100 percent. More than one nurse has told me they use similar devices while doing their rounds - I'm still curious. That being said, my heart rate is usually around the readings I see on this device, same for my blood oxygenation saturation levels. There is little deviation in the readings I've gotten off this device compared to those I would see at a doctor's office or other medical facility using medically registered pulse oximeters. I'm not overly concerned with the device being inaccurate to a fault. This device claims to be used for "sport and aviation" use - NOT for medical use. It is battery operated, but automatically shuts off it not being used within seconds. You don't even have to press the power button to turn it off. I think it works very well, is pretty accurate when used correctly, and the ONLY thing that might make it better would be if it could be charged with a USB charger, as opposed to batteries.

I bought this for my mother following lung surgery while she was on oxygen. It works well enough. Sometimes it would seem like it was reading too low. We would double check, then triple check & typically checks 2 & 3 matched. So just be aware. I like the purple so that it stands out. Makes it easy to find if it gets lost in the bed or falls off the nightstand.

I'd never used one of these myself till today and it was very easy to figure out. I read all the instructions before turning on incase there was something specific I would need to do. Literally load your batteries and push the button and place on a finger. Wait a few seconds to get a read out started and viola! The lanyard and protector were a nice touch and dont affect the use of the oximeter when in use. The purple colors a fairly true match in the picture to real life. The display screen is bright, big and easy to read. If you need an oximeter this is a great one to have.
