5.0 out of 5 stars Great Carob Product
Lucked out on this purchase. Most vitamin and supplement mom and pop shops have closed after the devastating economic collapse of C-19. Buying supplements of any kind online is a toss of the dice. This product is superior. Advised by integrative medicine to take 1 Tbsp. In applesauce on an empty stomach to calm inflammatory episode from salmonella poisoning. Warned it would taste not too good. This product tastes great and can tell it is produced quite well. Highly highly recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious
I add it to soy milk, and finally have a chocolate milk substitute. Better iced than hot imho but I’m sugar free and can’t use sweeteners. I think warming it up makes the carob taste less sweet.

5.0 out of 5 stars delicious carob shakes
Blended with vanilla ice cream, it makes a delicious "chocolate" shake! It's sweeter and less acidic in taste compared with chocolate.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good and fresh
I bought this in order to make some carob brownies, which came out great and denser than I expected. Lots of flavor in small brownie. I will look for more recipes to use this.
5.0 out of 5 stars Adding to my coco.
I'll admit that I may be a cocoa addict. I have ate least two cups of hot cocoa every evening - even in the summer. But I recently learned that cocoa is very high in oxalates and I do need to be careful due to a long history of kidney stones. Based on the reviews, I was concerned by the differences in the flavor between cocoa and carob powder. So I started by mixing them with one part carob and two parts cocoa. Then half and half and now two to one. I adjusted quickly and may even like it more now than just straight coca powder.Who knows? If the price of cocoa keeps shooting up I may just go to 100% carob. I heard on the radio that they may have to stop making Oreo cookies for awhile due to the cost of cocoa. Do you think they could use some carob?

I love the taste of this carob powder. It’s a great substitute for chocolate. It makes a wonderful hot cocoa! When baking with it, if substituting for chocolate, I feel I need to cut the amount in half bc the taste gets too strong and bitter. But it is a great substitute for chocolate for those who can’t have chocolate.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great roasted beverage alternative
The carob powder has been a great alternative for both coffee and cocoa. It has an aromatic roasted profile and natural sweetness. While it doesn't taste like cocoa, it's a fairly common substitute that has a nice flavor of its own. I've been using stevia drops or pure stevia powder to sweeten, but it doesn't need much. Usually I drink it hot, but I had put some leftovers in the refrigerator and found that it actually is really good cold as well. I use about 1.5 measured tablespoons of carob powder per 8 oz of liquid.
