What I liked about this undated version from the one I grew up with was all the additional pegs. They must have had complaints about losing pegs in the past. Like you have soooo many extras than needed. Cool addition of the planes. The boxes aren’t made like the old ones I grew up with eons ago. But is anything like eons ago that was made to last forever? Battleship is a great game for any age:)

I have loved this game since I was young. I had buddies that had the game, I did not, but enjoyed having to see the battlefield in my head and 'screen' while playing. I hate to admit that I am 62 years old and finally have purchase this game. I should have had it while my kids were small to enhance their ability to plan and strategize an unseen field in their heads. They both have done very well without the game, but still would have been a fun one to play with them. Now? A fun game to play with the wife when nothing is on the 10 streaming services or the other 200+ channels. My first time playing this was in early elementary school. I look forward to playing it with my grandson when old enough to focus on a strategy game. I suspect he will be ready around age 5 or 6.

My son and I love playing this game. It really is a good guessing game and pieces are good. I only recommend one thing. There isn’t enough room given for the red and white pieces on the side. It makes closing it difficult. Please make the game a little larger to accommodate the pieces.

My kids loved this game digitally so we bought as a way to keep them off their phones a little more. We have a blast playing and the box is much smaller than when I was a child, but the overall quality has definitely gone down. The number on the boards are hard to see, the plastic on the boards is thin. Ours cracked the first day playing. The storage on the sides could be a little larger also as they do not quite fit all the markers so there are extras rolling around inside the main box.

Classic which is great but like many things from the past, kinda cheap and so so quality - ships don't fit well so they can shift when moving around with the board. Hard to close quickly b/c there is no space if the pegs are set in. Letters/Numbers are hard to read b/c they are clear w/o any colors.

Great version of a classic game
Overall I'm very happy with this version. The boards are study and hold themselves up without tipping. The pegs stay firmly in the top board, I was able to walk to a different room mid-game without anything shifting or falling out. The boards each shut firmly, keeping all the pieces inside. Even when playing a long game where we were hunting each other's last ship around the board we had enough white pegs.The only downside was that the airplanes are made out of a lower quality plastic than the ships. They also don't have a slot on the side where all the ships can be stored so they have to sit with the pegs.I like that, unlike other versions on the market right now, it takes no batteries and doesn't have any components that can give out. It also has two completely separate game boards so you can sit across the room from each other. (or in these times we can give one board to a friend and play over zoom).
