So I've had several Hormel, non refrigerated, ready to eat type meals and MRE's with similar styles of packaging. I get it... It lasts for years and doesn't need to be refrigerated. The trade off is usually bland food that is mainly for subsistence. This Dinty Moore is entirely different. The moment I opened the plastic top and smelled, I realized they might be on to something! It tastes almost like homemade stew. No joking. I was even impressed with the amount of beef! The consistency of the beef was way better than I have had with other similar foods. It didn't feel like mush! I will most certainly buy this again and I can't believe I held off doing so for like 40 years. My bad lol 😂

I actually love the ones in the cans but these were conveniently easier to use. No mess, just eat right from the bowl after microwaving them.However, not very much are in the little trays. I measured the amount and of course it doesn’t come close to the amount that’s in the regular sized cans.Still tasty and good, easy to handle.

I’ve ordered these many times and they taste like homemade. It has thick chunks of beef and nice sliced veggies. The gravy is delicious and right for sopping up with a biscuit or bread. Heat for a minute or two in the microwave and dinner or lunch is served! Yummy! 👍

Very convenient when you’re using a travel trailer and want a quick lunch with no fuss. The stew is very good and with a piece of toast it makes a very good lunch. Could be used for dinner as well. They can go in the pantry and last for a long time before use.
