I needed a shower chair after a bad fall resulting in a fractured knee cap. While the chair came in pieces, it was easy to assemble and is light weight yet sturdy. It fits perfectly in the shower and is comfortable - easy to get in and out because of the arms and the back. It is a really good chair for the value.

My mom already had a shower chair with no rails and it worked well when she had more strength to get up and sit down on her own. Currently she needs more assistance with standing up. I wanted to add more bars in the shower for her but before I did that I wanted to try something else first. I found this chair. I could tell upon pulling all the materials out of the box that it was going to be sturdy. There were instructions which was written clearly and simple to understand (however, make sure you use the correct screws for each bar). I didn't need any tools because it came with screws that already had handle twist on them to screw and tighten up easily on each bar. I didn't need any assistance, it was truly a one person job (no technical skills needed), in assembling the chair. The amazing part was that it took me less than 10 minutes to put it all together. I was able to easily adjust the height of the chair for my mom's needs. It fit perfectly in her walk in shower. The only downside to this was that the actual chair bench part was smaller than my mom's last shower chair. My mom is 5' tall and weighs about 130 lbs and works fine for her. However, I'm thinking a larger frame person might not feel comfortable settling into the chair. It is sturdy and did not rock or sway when I tried standing up or sitting down in it, so I felt confident that it would help my mom. After my sister gave my mom her first shower using this chair, she called me and said it was a game changer for them. Works great without the arm rests. Very sturdy but light enough to move easily.

I purchased this fairly easy to assemble item prior to three joint replacement surgeries (one hip, two knees). It was invaluable. Having a shower chair with armrests made it so much easier to stand after showering. It still comes in handy when you need a small, lightweight chair.

My husband broke his hip and leg in a fall and when he returned home from rehab this chair was perfect for our walk in shower...he's 6'2" and 175 lbs and this chair is perfect for him...nothing to dislike...really serves the purpose...
