5.0 out of 5 stars Takes a while to absorb but worth every penny!
I kept hearing about this brand everywhere but I was cautious of the reviews because I have sensitive, oily skin with eczema but I love this product! One thing I noticed about my skin is that since I started to use it not only is it baby butt soft but it has helped ease the redness in my face. In my first pic although I have makeup there is a lot of redness on my cheeks from leftover acne marks to inflammation (allergies) but taken today the second picture shows my skin with a more even texture/color. I bought this to help moisturize my skin because I always slumped out on face lotion or sunscreen due to it feeling greasy on my face. The oil when applied to my greasy kitchen face feels a liiiiiittle bit heavy but it soaks in after you give it some time. I read online you are supposed to add 2-3 drops on your face. Well I have a fat face because that wasn’t enough so I take 4-5 drops in my hands and rub it in my face. The instructions also say to pat it on so it goes deep in your pores but I gently rubbed my face. I know rubbing your face causes wrinkles but rubbing it in for a good 30 secs really helped the oil soak into my skin. I use a mat tidying moisturizer after this and it helps my oily face soak up all the good stuff within ten mins. (Moisturizer is Origins Matte Moisturizer with Willowherb). It could be my combo of the oil and the lotion that makes my face absorb it all but I highly recommend both because I did not react at all to either. Now usually my eczema reacts nasty to some skincare products but not this oil. The oil does not smell either. Before this I tried the Radha rosehip oil and that smells like moldy crayons but I cannot smell anything with this!TIP: buy from the actual Deciem site or Sephora because it’s cheaper than Bolo. I paid 14$ for this because I desperately needed something to Moisturize my face and I have no regrets paying the extra money.I do wish this company would come out with a 2-4 oz size of this bottle because I would definitely hand them more of my money. This product will make your skin softer and did not cause me to breakout (allergies or pimples). If you have oily skin I would really recommend a matte lotion on top of it or mixing some drops with your lotion in your hand or a cup then applying it. I have no patience and I do the oil first wait a minute for my face to take some of it in then apply my eye cream/lotion on top of that.Good luck!
5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE these products
The Ordinary has the best skin care line. Priced for the average person with great results
5.0 out of 5 stars No issues
I’m always super worried about ordering skincare online but sometimes it’s just so much more convenient. The product was well packaged and I had no problems with the integrity of the product. This oil is amazing. I have tanned, dry, sensitive acne prone skin and this product does well to give me that surface hydration without being oily nor disturbing the makeup I layer on top. I’ve replaced this oil multiple times with other products and I always go back to this product. It takes a month of consistent use to see the effects :)
5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL PRODUCT
I did not realize all of the great benefits of this oil, whatsoever, before I bought it. Mostly, I was looking for a reliable lip moisturizer that did not have anything extra in it like most products do. This also had strong recommendations for adding it to your skin care regimen as a facial oil so I thought those sound like pretty good reasons to try this stuff.... Well....I do have to admit I have also been using it on my God-awful sunburn I acquired several days ago. I should be peeling by now. I do not think that will be happening, and squalane oil was a major factor. So not only does it keep your lips properly hydrated and helps restore the sebum of your skin and produces a lovely "facial glow"...it is very absorbent and will not clog your pores AT ALL. A very light but hardworking oil. You can also use it on your hair, which I have yet to try but I have no doubts thus far.
4.0 out of 5 stars Try adding it to your face cream.
I added it to my face cream which I also use as a body cream, I believe it to be worth it.
5.0 out of 5 stars I had ordered the trial sizes of the Biossance oil and I LOVED it, but it doesn't last very long considering ...
LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE ORDINARY'S SQUALANE OIL. I had ordered the trial sizes of the Biossance oil and I LOVED it, but it doesn't last very long considering I actually use the squalane oil for my hair and not my skin. The Biossance oil is fifty or sixty dollars and as a college student there is absolutely no way I can afford that without either saving up or living off of ramen for a month....or six. Biossance derives their squalane from cane sugar plants I believe, so I wanted to find a squalane oil brand that did the same, which was FAR harder than you would believe, since most companies get their squalane from olives (which kind of just seems like...milder olive oil to me). Well the ordinary doesn't have where their oil is derived from BUT they DO have a system for emailing them questions, so I asked, and lo and behold, they derive their squalane from cane sugar as well, so i figured it was a safe (and cheap) bet to order this in place of the Biossance oil. I have VERY curly, dry, split end prone hair and this oil helps keep it not only moisturized, but also helps keep my curls defined and looking nice instead of insanely unruly and frizzy for a fraction of the price that the Biossance oil does, and the point of this very long winded explanation is this; It is JUST as good (perhaps even better when factoring cost) as the Biossance 100% Squalane and I will forever buy this instead.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best!
This is my go to squalane oil. I’ve tried other brands but for some reason my skin loves this one (and so does my wallet)! Definitely recommend for extra hydration and that natural supple look!
5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR SEBORRHEIC DERMATITIS
I researched oils to use for seborrheic dermatitis. Carrier oils are needed to prevent Malassezia, a main source in seborrheic dermatitis. This oil is a carrier oil, I use. There are other carrier oils. If you are wanting to learn more about carrier oils, doctor google will help you. I have been to 2 dermatologists, Did NOT help me. I had to find information and answers on google and my pharmacist. I also take OTC Lysine.Lysine is a tissue repairer. I take 1 a day. This is a great help for cold sores, etcI hope this gives you hope and not feel alone with eczema. Good Day to all
