5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice product
This product is very nice quality and I have been very happy with its performance. The lid is heavy and nice. So far there has been no problem with food sticking to the skillet.
5.0 out of 5 stars I’m excited
I wanted a big non stick gpan to fry my eggs in and I was very pleased when I used this product. I really enjoy that it gets my food right every time and nothing has stuck to this pan yet. Easy to use, clean, the non stick is working wonders and the value was great.
4.0 out of 5 stars Induction: Had to switch from 4 medium pancakes to 1 BIG one :)
This is a very attractive griddle pan and appears to be very well-made.I bought this griddle for use on a freestanding induction cooktop that I received for Christmas 2020. The cooktop is an 1800w SUNAVO with a coil marking on the glass measuring ~7.75". The ferrous induction disk on the bottom of the griddle is ~8.125". I mention these details just in case they have some bearing. This griddle may perform differently with another induction cooktop.Having read in one of the Reviews here that the griddle would have issues properly cooking 4 pancakes, one in each corner, I made that my first test. With my regular aluminum griddle (on my coil-top electric range) I use some drops of water in the griddle center to tell me when the heat is correct. When they boil-off I pour on the pancake batter. When it became apparent to me that the batter farthest from the center was not cooking I got busy with my 2 pancake flippers and salvaged the pancakes. For this test I had my induction cooktop set at 200°.I used an IR Thermometer to run some tests at different temperature settings and found that the corners heat constantly lags far behind (~80°-90°) that of the center. Even when I tried a slower, cooler, longer-duration heat-up of the griddle, the temperature delta would assure very uneven cooking. I imagine that this could be offset, somewhat, by flipping the pancakes in towards the center (once the outer sections firmed-up) so that the undercooked outer halves, for the 2nd half of the period, would reside on the hottest area.I also did some testing with my regular aluminum griddle on top of a ferrous heating disk placed on the induction cooktop. The temperature delta was much smaller, reminiscent of my experiences cooking pancakes on the AL griddle on my electric range. The results suggest to me that the heat transfer from the heated induction disk to the outer part of the griddle is less efficient than that of a regular AL griddle pan on a coil-top electric range.Perhaps if, rather than imbedding the ferrous plate within the thickness of the griddle, they simply attached it to the bottom, leaving the aluminum griddle uniformly thick, the heat would transfer more evenly. The griddle would LOOK less elegant with a slab of steel attached to the bottom but it would probably be a better cooker. That said, I also imagine that this may just be the nature of the beast. <shrug & smile>My solution to this Pancake Dilemma? I now make a single BIG pancake in the center of the griddle pan.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great NON-Stick pan for Induction Cooking.
When I switched to an induction cook-top I found out the hard way a lot of pans don't work with induction. The only working pan I had was my old cast iron skillet. Don't get me wrong, I love my cast iron but when cooking eggs or other things non-stick is much easier. That's where this 12" copper non-stick pan comes in to work. I love the size of this pan. I can fit two grill cheese at the same time and cook to perfection. The non-stick surface is amazing. No matter what I cook from grilled cheese, eggs etc my food slides right out of the pan. Clean up is a breeze. 99% of the time a couple paper towels and a quick wipe is all that's needed for clean up.It has a heavy bottom which works great for heat distribution. The lid is clear so you can monitor whats cooking and has a small vent which lets steam escape. The handle is metal but it never gets hot when cooking, even on high heat. Bolted on the opposite side of the pan is a hanger for a pot/pan rack.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice pan
Nice big pan, with a lid, for the price. You can cook on lower heat.
1.0 out of 5 stars Finish lasted 2 weeks
Yeah, got to cook on this twice. 3 rd time, nothing but sticking! We hate this pan and I will continue to hunt down a better one. But not this, I paid $21 for a $5 pan
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent non-stick pan works better than I expected
So far this pan has been perfect. Tried frying cheese in it and it works perfectly - the browned cheese slides right out. Tried fried eggs with no oil or butter and same thing (although a little oil or butter for flavor is nice).A few simple notes though:1. As everyone says: use a lower temp than you would with another pan. This has very good heat contact and so lower works better. We use gas and heats fast.2. Things will slide out once they are cooked. If they are still wet and gooey they will not slide out, but they will also not really stick.3. Cleans super easy since nothing stick to it. I have not used the dishwasher because it takes 10 seconds to clean. So far very impressed. The real test is after a few months of use - we are using it all the time so that will be a lot of wear and tear.
5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed
This is exactly what I needed. I have a convection stove in the large burner wasn’t working. I took a risk and ordered this and found that in order for that to work. I needed a nice heavy convection pan. To my surprise that were perfectly. I love it!
Fantastic
I love it! We had a square pan like this that wore out over the years. This whole line of products is amazing. I've bought several products in the line and I am happy with all of them!
very good looking, functional pan
I've had this pan for a few months now and it is great for omelettes . Very non-stick, well balanced, easy to clean and it's a good looking pan. Like all non-sticks you don't want to use high heat and regardless of the sales pitch i've stayed away from metal utensils or harsh cleaning. I'm comfortable recommending purchase of this one.
Ottima padella
Padella ben fatta. Ottimo strato antiaderente. L’ho comprata perché mi serviva una padella che potesse entrare in forno, ottima.
Love love love this- it is my new 'go to' ...
Love love love this- it is my new 'go to' cooking pan. Haven't tried the frying basket yet but it cooks food really well and evenly. The square shape is awesome and fits on the top of my stove better if I have other pans on it at the same time. I would recommend this product in an instant.
