5.0 out of 5 stars Clothes dye
The dye renews the fabric ic my clothes, and renews their color. It’s easy to use, quite inexpensive. Does a great job.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easier than I imagined
I had a white cotton bath mat that always looked dirty. White rugs, ugh! So I dyed the runner navy blue, using both bottles of Rit in the front load washer. Came out great, very dark blue, toward the purplish end. So much better than white for hiding footprints and dirt (especially as we remodel, and thus walk around covered in sawdust and such!). I dried the mat in the dryer without any problems. My washer gasket wasn't stained by the dye, although I made sure to immediately run a bleach load to ensure it was dye-free. Quite pleased that I saved this nice cotton bath mat from eventually being thrown away for being irretrievably dingy.
5.0 out of 5 stars True color
We have a fabric ottoman cover that has faded over time and instead of getting a new one we decided to try to dye it blue again. The bottle suggested using 2 if we wanted to deep color which we did and we are very happy with the results. I wish I had a before picture but the after looks like a new cover. We tried the powder version once before and got ok results but the liquid version was superb. It also suggested adding salt to the water and we did and I am guessing it helped hold the color. All and all very happy.
4.0 out of 5 stars Did the job well!
I bought the navy blue dye. It worked super well. Highly recommend buying the fixative to go with it! Was somewhat tedious but enjoyed the process. Used it to dye cheesecloth for my wedding. Only reason I didn’t give full stars is because it was not as dark as I wanted it to be.

It’s a good price for some dye. I used this to dye some canvas and it did a great job. One bottle goes a kind way. Good value for the buck
3.0 out of 5 stars Not all wool is dyeable
The Rit Dye navy blue 2 bottles would not work with cashmere wool ,that I did not know,a Republican would like this jacket but I am travelling to an ambivalent southern state!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Denim Or Cotton
I bought these to dye a few articles of clothing. I had a navy short sleeve sweater, a pair of navy carpri pants, navy shorts, some socks, a navy bra, a pair of cotton yoga pants, and TWO pairs of darker denim jeans. According to the bottles, I had too many clothes but I still did all the clothes at once. I filled up my stainless steel sink with SUPER hot water and added some salt and a little dish soap. I added the dye then added all the clothes. I make it so the water is just covering the clothes. I want the dye to be as concentrated as possible (sometimes when I do this I use a 5 gallon bucket). I let the clothes sit in the dye for hours. I usually do this in the morning then take the clothes out before I go to bed. After the clothes sat in the dye, I unplugged the sink and rinse the items my hand in cold water flushing out the remaining dye. I then ran the items through the wash on a cold gentle cycle and hung to dry. The dye really brought back the items that were faded and added a fresh color to the jeans. This saved my clothes that I would have otherwise donated. They look brand new now.
