5.0 out of 5 stars BEST EVER!
I am obsessed with English Paper Piecing so I use tiny #10 Milliners Straw needles even though they have the smallest eye I have ever worked with. I bought the most amazing light (Bolo’s iZELL gooseneck clip on reading light) which is a game changer but I still struggled with theading. I have many styles of threaders in addition to several magnifying glasses but this tiny little bird is the cat’s meow! I can thread now in seconds and you will love it too. Hint - I hold the threads tight against the bird as I pull it through the eye. That will give you the tension needed to give you an instant thread.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for threading size 28 tapestry needles
I ordered this because I was having a lot of trouble threading my size 28 tapestry needles. I needed something that wouldn't add bulk to the side of the threader, since these needles' eyes are already narrow as it is. This works pretty well, though it's easy to snag/fray the thread since the notch to hold the thread is very tiny and a bit sharp. However, notching the thread as close to the end as possible means it doesn't matter as much if I snag and fray the thread a bit. Worth it to be able to more easily thread my needles!
4.0 out of 5 stars Fits my tiniest needless
This is a really great tool. It works even on my tiniest milliners needless (size 10 or 11). It fits in the whole with little room to spare but the eye of milliners needless are more narrow so it should fit most anything. The nice thing is that the part that goes through the eye is not the flimsy wire like most needle threaders. It's a flat thin bar with a TINY hook on it. Much more substantial then the wire. I LOVE that the beak of the duck folds down over it so that it's protected. It kinda snaps down over it so it's not loose and it won't flop up if the duck it's turned upside down. I also like that the tail has a hole to hook onto a lanyard. I have a key ring at the end of my retractable lanyard and it barely fit but it DID fit. The one and only thing I don't like, and it's why I removed one star, is it is very small in total size. I expected it to be a bit bigger. So it's smaller then the clip-on holder for my lanyard. It weighs a fraction of my lanyard. It is durable plastic for the body but it still feels very small. Maybe about the size of a quarter (in rough diameter, not thickness. It's plenty thick, probably about 5/8" thick). With that being said, it's small enough that I can use it to thread my machine if I need to also. It's just a little expensive for how big it is but it's a great design. I really like it. I just would have liked it better if it had been big enough to not require a lanyard to keep from losing it.
5.0 out of 5 stars So cute! Makes threading so much easier.
This threader is absolutely adorable! The threader itself fits all of my needles except the teeny little betweens I like to use when sewing miniatures. I bought this to make sewing easier after recovering from hand surgery, since gripping the little coin-style threaders is almost as challenging as trying to thread the needle without a threader at all. It'll do perfectly for what I need it for, and is much less likely to get lost in my sewing area while I'm working since it has a little hole to thread it onto a lanyard or necklace. Definitely the cutest tool in my sewing drawer!
3.0 out of 5 stars Does the job but wouldn't buy again
I wanted this as a light tool to keep on a lanyard while sewing. The blade does not cut well or smoothly and getting the thread on the beak is almost as difficult as threading the needle. It works but I feel like it won't last long and I'll look for a better replacement when that happens.
5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT TOOL!!
I wish I had learned about this little tool years ago. Makes threading needles so much easier than the little wire versions! I probably won't use the blade to cut thread but it's nice to have available.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cute, durable enough.
This threader is cut but the cover is elongated and looks like it could break easily especially if you are taking your needlework with you. I’m keeping mine in my wooden thread box at home where it will come in quite handy.
1.0 out of 5 stars Don’t buy
I need help threatening a needle due to eye disease. Can’t figure out how to use this thing.
Works!
Works with all the needles I use. handy and I like that I can wear it around my neck so when I'm sewing I don't have to look for it.
Útil
Além de lindo, realmente é muito prático! Funciona para agulhas finas! Comprem sem medo!
Henebrar y cortar el hilo
Tardó un poco, está muy bien para cortar el hilo y henebrar, con un diseño bonito
Easy to use
Its a handy gadget if you have problems threading needles. I quilt and I find th is very handy when Im threading hand needles constantly, sometimes with very tired eyes! You can attach a cord to it so it hangs around your neck and it has a cover to protect the needle hook. The actual needle hook is quite flimsy and bends easily, but it does the job. Im very pleased with it.
Es realmente bello, práctico y funciona muy bién
Me encantó el producto y la rapidez con la que llegó, sin duda volvería a comprar esta marca de productos
