I got this barrel Because it is pretty and out of the box it looks great! Unfortunately it is hard to fill; the plastic liner slips and then the liquid goes into the barrel directly and the barrel leaks. We filled it once and it worked; then the last 3 times it has slipped through the liner into the barrel. The hard part is the hole is so small I can’t even see the liner to pull it up. Sadly disappointing, style over substance this one is.

The bung hole is so small you won’t be able to get spirits in to it , second the little wood chips given is a joke so small it will take 10 years to get anything from them to the spirit oh if you could get them chips in the bung hole. Joke of a product. Looks great but pointless.

We are a small rum company in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and purchased this barrel to display in a clients store. Wow, what a great little marketing/conversation piece. Of course, we added our logo once it arrived. The barrel does hold about 5 liters and, so far, no leaking has occurred. Customers love the fact that they can use it to get a free sample of our rum, which has increased sales in that location. Product came exactly as expected, in immaculate condition. Holds water with no leaks. Some people have had problems with it leaking and thats because they added water/wine in the side of the barrel and not the spigot entrance. Big mistake. But it works good. Going to be aging wine in it.

I’ve received it today.I must say that I have received exactly the same item like shown in the picture BUT when I looked inside and saw the BAG inside that was IT for me.Then I look into the item description to see what I missed and it was this:DescriptionNOTE: Barrel contains internal plastic-lining/bag; contents do not come in direct contact with wood.Quality is ok I guess but for decor. If you are looking for a real barrel then this is not for you

This product is absolute garbage. It’s too bad it was a gift and by the time we found out that it leaks it was too late to return. Cheap looking, not very nice to even use as decoration and it leaks. Terrible and expensive purchase.

Nice gift for a bar but not actually meant for curing whiskey but a nice unit for a newbie into the hobby or for to use in bar, Box was badly damaged but that was through the shipper Canada Post and did not come with chips but suspects once again Canada Post because of the big hole in it probably fell out
