OK, so we bought this for my son a year ago for Hanukkah and it had been sitting in our garage for that entire time. I randomly decided yesterday to clean the playroom and assemble this on my own. First, big props to the folks at Melissa & Doug for such a thoughtful and easy-to-follow set of directions. The pieces are super well labeled and organized. The only tool you will need besides what’s provided is a simple screw driver. I didn’t feel like engaging my husband for help, so I used the little screw driver that comes with Ring cameras. Lazy, sure. But it worked. From start to finish with kids interrupting, it took my about an hour and a half to assemble. The components feel very durable, and my son could not wait to start playing. It looks very cute and has so many realistic features. My son is 5 and my daughter is 1.5, and it feels like a great toy for both ages.

It's durable, and it looks as you see, and putting it together was easy. I did it all by myself. I bought fake money that looks real, so that doesn't come with it. But it's all nice. And you have to buy the food and other stuff separately. But if you are looking to buy, definitely do it. You don't need fancy tools to put it together. Just need a screw driver, and it comes with the wrench that's need needed. Recommend.

This is an adorable and great quality play store! The directions for putting it together were easy to follow, and all of the holes lined up and all hardware was present. It is a great size as well to fit in a play area without taking up too much space. The scanner actually beeps which our kids love. I would recommend getting the accessory kit that comes with some boxed items, an apron, employee of the month sign, the little hanging organizer with gum, etc. I would highly recommend this!!

I purchased this in 2018/2019 when I had just one nephew, and now in 2024 that I have three nephews (and one niece on the way), it has maintained pretty fabulous quality. A few scratches on the card reader and the register belt has had to be reset a couple of time through the years, but overall wonderful. Such an incredible gift and it makes for the most animated play dates when I get to be the cashier. 🤣

This is a really nice toy, as expected from Melissa and Doug. Assembly was very easy and fairly quick - about 2 hours. Instructions are clear and the entire thing is very sturdy. I did purchase the recommended extra kit which added all the items at check out, money, and some boxed and canned “foods.” My daughter is going to love this on Christmas morning.I took off one star because the “fresh mart” sign on top didn’t come framed as pictured on the box. I also noticed all the previous reviews had the sign in a sturdy frame that screws into the top. Mine was a flimsy sign that slides into a groove (see pic). To make matters worse, it didn’t fit into the groove when I added the accessory kit. I had to cut around the corners in order to make it work. But it’s still flimsy and will undoubtedly end up on the floor and eventually in the trash. So I am disappointed because this is likely a cost cutting measure which was implemented poorly. They should also update the picture on the box because I spent a lot time going back through all the packaging to look for a frame that wasn’t there.

got this on sale and it was an awesome purchase even full price. instructions were so easy and clear, took maybe an hour if that. i picked this over the others because of the working conveyor, calculator, scanner and signature pad. melissa&doug would crush it even more if they made it fully neutral or just other color options. I’ll eventually paint it because the green and red is an eye sore 🤪 but everything is good quality and in working order. my son will love this for years I’m sure!

When I received this item I just knew I was going to be overwhelmed with the many different parts. But putting this together was the easiest ever and EVERYTHING LINED UP, this was the extra plus. Usually you get things with so many parts and when you get to the middle of putting it together something doesn't line up so now you have to force fit it or something but not with this item. The instructions are easy to follow and the item is a good looking product. The only issue I had was the sign at the very top won't stay inserted but that is minor. If all of Melissa and Doug's products are like this then they have a customer for life. My glamdaughter loves it.
