This review is for 21x16 Chefman Electric Warming Tray. This has been a blessing for the issues that can rise when guests arrive at various times. It is easy to use, elegant and keeps the food warm. The adjustable temperature makes it easy to modulate serving needs as time passes. The size is ideal for holding three medium to small heat tolerant serving trays. Most of our serving was for 4-6 people. It has a glass top, I am glad I did not notice this at the time, it would have made me less inclined to make the purchase. The extra gentleness while putting it away and storing it is well worth the effort, plus the glass top turned out to be a blessing, it makes it so easy to clean. We had spills of rice, gravy etc. Once the unit is cold, a sponge with dish soap and a wipe with a wet towel, took care of everything. I keep it in its original bag and box, and use the original side foams (I use duck tape to re-enforce the box). It stores well under the bed. The only issue that needs attention is that the bottom of the unit heats-up, it has to be placed on fire resistant material. We set it on top of an old barbecue outdoors, on top of the stove (when not in use) or extra large cookie sheet, or granite countertop indoor. We used it on many occasions and have not had any issues with the knob or the way it heats.

We bought 2 of them. It had great temperature control. Works much better than using sterno and aluminum trays. Using these will save money over time by not using sterno.

Not allowed for Shabbos - Not allowed for ShabbatWarming tray for shabbat/Shabbos must not have a thermostat - do not use it on Shabbat - do not use it for Shabbos - it is like cooking on shabbos/shabbos and this transgressing shabbos. A "Shabbat Hotplate" is aptly named: It is used to keep food hot on Shabbat. Because of its low heat level, this equipment usually cannot actually cook food. Needed a warmer to keep food warm (and at a safe temperature) for a family gathering. This warmer really does a great job. It is large enough for several dishes, depending on their size. I felt really good that it kept the food at a safe temperature while serving.It looks really good - okay, Fancy - sitting on the counter top, too! It cost a little more than I was looking to spend, but I feel it was a great value and we should be able to use it for a long time.

The warmer is nice looking and a good size for serving guests. The knob for adjusting how warm the surface is could use a directional arrow so you can tell how warm it is set. I had to use a sharpie to put an arrow on the knob to help with this mussing feature.

This thing is amazing. It's inexpensive, it doesn't look cheap, and it works. I do a lot of cookouts, and keeping the food warm for extended periods was an issue. But with this, I can put a covered tray each of pulled pork and carne asada on it and it will hold warm. Allowing my guests to come back for thirds, fourths, fifths... and the food be just as hot as it was when I pulled it off the grill.

I unboxed it, took a very large pan of water and within 10 minutes it was simmering. I was really surprised at how quickly it worked! Definitely not an item to be around young children as the entire thing gets hot, even underneath. The knob is tricky because there are no markings to know what setting it is; so I used a Sharpy to mark the knob, and that did the trick. Great product!

I used this at Christmas for casseroles and other things that needed to be kept warm when there was no other room on the stove. It worked perfectly and also looked nice. Easy clean up!
