The Beacon clips onto all Ruffwear wearable dog gear - collars, packs, apparel, life jackets, and harnesses. For additional safety, it also clips to runners, hikers, cyclists, kids, and equipment. The following features are great: - very easy to clip to ruffwear harness (and I have two different styles and it works for both) - super bright and the three color options are great bc I can set one color for my one lab and another color for my second lab - very light weight - long battery life - these beacons have never died on me. I have charged them 2-3 times in over a month and we use them every night, several times a night

If you travel with your dogs to places where there is no light at night (beach or mountains) this is the best you can get. Don't lose your black dog again :P

I bought this for my dog but now use it for my camping hammock, and backpack. It is awesome. I am buying one for my ultralight tent. Small, rechargeable last hours and is waterproof. It has a small clip and a back clip to mount anywhere. Plus it has multiple colors.

We have several of the predecessors, the Beacon, and have bought some for friends. Like everything about it including the sturdy clip. The clip, on the Clear Lake seems 'iffy' to me. We've had it for a month. PROS: larger, brighter light in three colors - green, blue and red, water resistant, USB rechargeable, clips onto all of the Ruffwear apparel with a light loop, highly visible - friends tell me you can see her a mile away. CONS: Clip could be an issue though it's never come off even with vigorous shaking. The fastening point could be a little more substantial in my opinion, more of something to grab on to.She has three Ruffwear Front Range harnesses. She doesn't wear a collar. The Beacon clipped on the topside of the harness, making her visible from all directions. The Clear Lake is clipped onto a strap over her left shoulder making her visible from the left side only. It would only fit on the right or left strap. The thin 'barrette-style' fastener can only be clipped onto a thin strip, strap or loop, not the thickness of the harness. I do like the overall performance as we also walk in the early mornings and late hours. I still recommend this product for its performance.

Obviously I bought this light for the dog, but I found myself using it also. Extra visibility while running or biking. When my usual lights run out of power this light keeps going. I had this on blink for over 8 hours and it still wasn't dead. Even during daylight I feel safer while biking with an active light. The ring on top isn't very reliable, but the clip on it's back hasn't given me issue. It has 3 different colors and a variety of settings. I like my lights rechargeable, and not have to worry about watch batteries that cost almost half the cost of the light itself. Even though my dog stays on leash. I still want him visible when it's dark.

I've had multiple Rufware Beacon lights over the years, most have been really reliable. As of recently the quality has gone way down while the price has gone way up. Three of the four lights I've received and subsequently returned do not hold a charge. They turn off (and won't turn back on) within 10-min of a full charge. This leaves my dogs in a dangerous situation when we are walking in the dark, which is unavoidable during the winter months. This is especially important since we live in an urban area and we need to be visible to cars. If Rufware can figure out their Quality Control issues with these lights I'll continue to be a customer, but until then I'm looking for a different product.

I saw all the reviews of the rear clip failing so I have no used the rear clip with my dog, although I really wish I could. The wire loop attachment is small for a reason, but was quite difficult to get onto a thicker collar loop (don't think I could get it off now if I tried). All that being said, this still deserves 5 stars. It's super bright, the three colors are nice, recharge capability is clutch, and battery life is amazing. My dog even chewed it up a good bit and it still works. Used it about 40 times so far and haven't had to recharge yet. 5 stars due to the brightness, durability, battery life, and price! I wish I could use that rear clip with confidence, but haven't yet.
Reliable, bright and with a long battery life
This light is very effective as a quick visibility option in the dark. It's easy to slip on and off a collar or a harness. The different light modes are useful in different situations, as well as the colours.

Lässt sich mit Hilfe eines Klett-Kabelbinders fast an jedem Geschirr befestigen und leuchtet wirklich gut und lange.Der Ladevorgang via USB-Kabel geht schnell und problemlos.Solange es nicht am Halsband befestigt wird,sondern am Geschirr auf dem Rücken ist es für unseren Hund - Husky - nicht störend und für Autos und andere Spaziergänger im Dunkeln gut und weit sichtbar.Ich würde es wieder kaufen,wenn ich’s als Angebot bekomme.Sonst würde ich wohl doch zu einem Leuchtie tendieren.Man kann den Beacon natürlich auch für schnelle Passagen einer Straße bei schlechtem Wetter auch gut zum Rucksack-Licht umfunktionieren,um für Autofahrer bei Wandertouren,die ungeplant länger dauern,gut sichtbar zu sein.

Parfait malgré le clips à plat « défaillant »
Acheté il y a un peu plus de deux semaines c’est parfait avec la nuit qui tombe tôt et les promenades matinales. Le clips à plat se décroche effectivement, pour remédier à ce problème j’ai passé le collier dans la boucle metallic plate et j’ai passé un porte clef accroché à la boucle ronde de tel sorte qui ne le perde pas. En deux semaines je ne l’ai chargé qu’une seule fois. Je recommande.
