I'm not sure why, or if the lid has to be put on a certain way. It's not like others where there's an obvious channel. Still, it has control info printed on the front of the lid so there's really only one way you should put it on. I guess that solves the question heh.I took a Sharpie and marked the max fill line on the outside of the inner wall. I keep the diffuser on a higher shelf and that just helps me see it better.1 push on the light button turns it on to default all-color2 push locks it on the color it's on when you pushed it3 push starts the individual color part. You keep pushing to select color, and each one can be set to a low/dimmer option.Individual colors: red, yellow, green, blue, darker blue/purple, pink/lilac, clearOnce you're thru the colors next push turns it off. You can also turn it off any time by pushing and holding the light button.It's made in China but the info says the company is Japanese. The word "asakuki" translates to "air in the morning". I like that. Google translate, however, says that word is Swahili and means "he doesn't grow". Who knows.It makes no noise except mild water sploops. I have been trying to find a good oil diffuser for so long and when I came across this one I thought it would be good to test it out and I love it. It works great and you can actually use for more than a few minutes lol it works all night long and the room smells amazing all the time.

Excellent diffuser with a very large reservoir. In non-metric terms, it holds about 3 cups of liquid. I love the fact that it is a cube, which if your space is limited, will allow you to set something on the top of it, such as your bottles of essential oils. Most of the others I've seen are spherical or odd shaped. It's as tall as a can of soda, just to give you an idea of the size. I've had it for about 4 months now and it functions perfectly. So much so, that I purchased 2 more. One for work and one for another room in my home. For the price, you can't go wrong.I like that you can choose to let it cycle through the different colors or choose to have it pause on just one color option. If you choose to let it cycle through each of the color options, it will go from the brighter color and then fade to the darker color. If you choose to have one color selected, you can choose the brighter or dimmer setting. You can also choose to have the mist without the light (for those of us who don't want light while we sleep) and you can also choose to use the light without the mist. There are also two mist options, low and high. It really puts out a strong mist on the high setting. It operates rather quietly on both settings and has a soothing sound that I enjoy hearing while I'm drifting off to sleep. If you need absolute silence while sleeping, you may want to select a different model since this one does have a "white noise" and bubbling kind of effect to it.The mist is ultra fine, so there is no worry of it getting anything wet in the vicinity. I use mine in a 12' x 12' bedroom placed on my night stand, but I have used it in my very open living & dining room area to help combat the stale smell of doggies (with essential oils) that can happen when the house is closed up during the winter. I also just use plain tap water and thus far have not had any issues with build up even though the water is medium-hard where I live.

The media could not be loaded. Simplemebte un gran difusor...... muy bonito, colores increíbles y la domótica con Alexa funciona de maravilla. Ya hasta estampos pensando en comprar un segundo ya que nos ha encantado este. Cómprenlo, no se van a arrepentir.
