The price is better than the glass-jarred ones. But for one person, I find I must transfer the rest to a very secure lidded glass jar in fridge. May not be a problem for larger households. Recently tried on inside pizza maker with good results. Not so sure about higher temperature in outside pizza oven. Extreme heat advisories preventing currently. Will update when I try. Different topping, drain well.

I've been on a bit of an artichoke craze lately because I'm trying to lose weight. Instead of snacking all evening out of boredom, I'll eat a can of artichoke hearts. They're fairly cheap, and they're extremely good for you.

These are cooked and soft and vinegar water. You can brown them in butter or use straight from the can on pasta or focaccia.We add our olive oil after the heat. Heat changes the quality of the oil, in case anyone was wondering.

I love artichokes, but I hate cooking them, so I always stock my pantry with canned artichokes. The Whole Foods own brand (365) ones are a good quality option for the price.The artichokes are tender, but chewy (with a nice bite), I really like the texture. The taste is nice, slightly nutty, slightly acidic, but mild. The liquid has an odd low quality taste, but the artichokes themselves are quite tasty. The artichokes are whole and look really ice, they work wonderfully on salads and pasta dishes, for making charcuterie / snack boards and even making artichoke dips.

A thank you to this can of artichokes for saving me the effort of peeling, trimming and steaming fresh artichokes. These artichokes are the best ones canned. They have a nice firm texture, are very versatile to add to many dishes; my favorite is to toss them with olive oil, garlic and a hit of milk for a quick pasta sauce.

Reasonable price, good artichoke hearts
These are excellent compared to what i was getting at Loblaws Antipasto bar. Not as good as one finds in California, of course, but that would be an unfair comparison. And the price seems quite reasonable.

I have gone through many different labels of artichoke hearts as I use them in so many recipes, including salads and stews. These are the best: whole, tender, flavorful. Truly hope they come back in stock.
