5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable and High-Quality Toner
excellent choice for anyone using a compatible Brother printer. It delivers sharp, crisp black prints consistently, making it ideal for both home and office use. With a page yield of up to 1,200 pages, the toner lasts a reasonable amount of time, even with frequent printing. Installation is straightforward, and the cartridge works seamlessly with my Brother printer without any errors or compatibility issues. The added bonus of Bolo Dash Replenishment ensures that I never run out of toner unexpectedly. It's a bit more expensive than third-party alternatives, but the quality and reliability are worth the price. Highly recommend for anyone who values hassle-free, high-quality printing!
5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't be an easier experience.
This has been a reliable printer, and the first cartridge lasted a long time. Replacing the toner cartridge was an easy process. What moved me to write this review and give five stars is that the company provides a shipping label with the expectation that you mail your old empty cartridge back in the box for recycling. I was wondering how I was going to deal with that thing, I appreciate this aspect of the experience a lot. It almost compensates for the price of the toner cartridge.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the extra money
I bought 2 knock off cartridges for my Brother printer. The first one quit when it was only 1/2 used. The second one would not even register with the machine. I paid $40 for the pair and got 1500 copies before the ink got so light, I couldn't read the copies. The new Brother cartridge arrived and worked perfectly. If I get 3000 copies or close for $80 it's the same price as the 2 pack of generics that only gave me 1500 copies. One other issue to keep in mind. Brother includes a postpaid return label to return their used cartridges for recycling them rather than trashing them in a landfill. The generic cartridges I bought don't provide that service. You get what you pay for.
5.0 out of 5 stars Genuine products are the way to go
I used the cheap replacement toner for a long while do to heavy volume printing. However, I constantly had print quality issues, and they would run out quickly. So I thought I would give the real thing a try. Great print quality and lasts much longer than the cheap ones. I also believe they caused problems with the drum as well. You know, sometimes you can get by with the cheap parts for printers, but the others are cheap for a reason. They work for a while and need replaced much sooner. I’m going with the Brother things from now on.
4.0 out of 5 stars The BS Marketing is TRUE!
I purchased the generic ink. Brother claims that is bad to do.Come on Brother, we all know you guys make money on the ink and toners, not the printer. So, your BS marketing is self-serving.BUT what happens when it's actually true?I purchased a 3rd party cartridge here off Bolo. SHOULD have sent it back the same day I bought it. I didn't.Here's MY experience. The first of two cartridges was a dud. NO ink.I thought I was ignorant on how to install the toner, as this is my first laser. But, wait. I installed the original with the printer, with no issues.Ok, so, I decide to try the second. It works.Sort of.It prints from the computer, perfectly; except for this huge black strip. So, I run a copy, which is sporatic, at best. Some copies are perfect (except for that huge black strip down the page). Some copies are not even visible (except for that huge black strip down the page. THAT is dark)Even with the same copy batch, some pages are dark, some are light, but, almost all have that dark huge black strip.Enter Genuine Brother Toner. $80(ish).I'm NOT happy here.I was told to buy a laser printer. It's more budget friendly. The printer itself was more than I am used to paying for the pain in the (we interupt this review on account of foul language that would have appeared here; as deserving as it may be, it may be offensive to some readers) they are. THEN I am told the toner will be close to $100! And THEN every so often I have to buy a drum, at over $100! HOW THE (we interupt this review again....) is THAT budget friendly?BUT,I did receive this overpriced (yeah, yeah, I know. BUT its true anyway) toner. And here's what happened:IT WORKED!No black strips.Copies are great. I will note though, that copies of a copy sukc, so, be forewarned on that.Did I mention NO HUGE BLACK STRIPS?Overall, I'm pretty upset that it cost as much as it did just for toner. BUT, if I get close to the 3000 pages, I'll be happy, because I dont believe I run that much in a year. Since toner is not liquid, it wont (shouldn't-- we'll see how this 100+ degree weather affects it) dry out. Not sure if I should ever need a new drum, at (supposedly) 25,000 pages. So, if it actually lasts close to 3000 pages, or a year, that SHOULD work out to $7.50/mo or 250pp/mo. which is definitely cheaper than $15-20/mo for a subscription. So, MAYBE with any luck, this overpriced toner will work out for the better.Update:Still no problems. ALL the problems I had previously, were a result of crap ink.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great toner investment for high-volume printers!
Our school has recently been using this toner for our school's high-volume printers, and the performance has been outstanding. We are impressed with the high yield and longevity with the heavy daily use typical in a school environment. We’ve experienced fewer replacements, which has saved both time and costs. Compared to other toners we’ve tried, this one provides excellent value for money. The balance between price, print quality, and cartridge life makes it a great investment for any school looking to manage their printing budget. Overall, this toner has exceeded our expectations, and we’d highly recommend.
