I recently tried the OWYN plant-based protein shake in the flavor “cookies and creamless,” and I must say, it's surprisingly good for a protein drink! Many protein shakes can be thick, chalky, and have an unpleasant flavor, but this one has a nice consistency and a flavor that I genuinely enjoy without the chalkiness. There is a slight aftertaste, but it’s much milder compared to other protein powders or drinks I’ve tried.It has a very long shelf life. The price is what I would expect and is comparable.As someone with lactose intolerance, I appreciate that this shake doesn’t upset my stomach at all, making it a perfect option for me. As a nurse practitioner, I also feel good about choosing this protein shake because it seems like a very clean choice. Overall, it’s a protein drink that I look forward to enjoying, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty and easy way to get their protein!

I got the variety 12 pack with chocolate, cookies & cream, and coffee. The coffee tasted amazing. The chocolate was delicious and creamy. The cookies and cream was pretty good but had a weird aftertaste. I would definitely buy another case of the coffee and chocolate. When drinking all of them I did get a few pieces of some slimy with a few swallows. It almost made me throw up. There was some residual that was on the inside of the bottle. Hopefully, that won't happen again if I buy them again. Overall pretty good if you're looking for plant based.

Medical challenges brought me to plant-based, natural, and high protein. These looked like a good fit so I bought the variety to try it out. I expected to have to get used to it but that wasn't the case. I grabbed a cold brew coffee first. I was hooked after the first sip. It's not chalky, gritty, or different; no unwanted aftertaste either. It taste like a mocha Frappuccino. Very good. Best part is that it hasn't upset my stomach (as of yet). Don't write this one off.

I like that this shake isn’t gritty. All flavors were good. This was a good way to test them out. The only problem I had was some stomach upset when I chugged one too quickly so I recommend sipping slowly.

I have been looking for a protein drink that is dairy free and tastes great and I found it on Bolo. I am grateful that I found it and love the cold brew flavor. Yes the price is high and unfortunately all special diet foods are. It not a choice for me as far as not eating dairy - that's just how it goes when some get older.

I've purchased 12-packs of these OWYN Strawberry Banana flavor drinks 6 times in the past, since I discovered them in 2022. I like the flavor and the ingredients. For my palate, the banana flavor slightly overpowers everything else which seems pretty standard for anything you put banana flavor into. I've also bought the chocolate and vanilla varieties in stores nearby, but can't find this flavor nearby.I went to purchase more today, and it seems they've switched from TetraPak-style waxpaper boxes to plastic bottles. So OWYN has lost at least one customer, I personally won't be buying any more of these while they're in plastic perma-waste packaging. I also regularly purchase several other brands and flavors of protein shakes, but only if they're NOT packaged in plastic bottles. I'll just buy more of those. OWYN must have had a good reason for switching, but I personally had no issues with the old paper boxes, like broken packaging or bad seals etc, and I thought the 12-pack cardboard boxes they came in were very sturdy.

I can’t eat dairy and this is the best protein shake I’ve found for the money. The monk fruit taste is overwhelming but after a few drinks I got used to it. I’m very happy to have a quality drink with a decent amount of protein in it.
