5.0 out of 5 stars Fits on a Grom WITH after market levers!
These are sturdy, do not wiggle loose, look great, and are 1/5 of the cost of big brand hand guards. The plastic is as thick as the big brands and the color and overall finish of the plastic is a handsome gloss black. Will def buy another set for my other bike!
4.0 out of 5 stars Fits the klx300 with a little work
This got the klx300 dual sport. I had to move the controls around a little to get things lined up, and the bolts to mount into the handle bar end don’t work if you have the stock bars on. I had a few 5/16in bolts that were about 1 1/2 inches long that worked with a few washers. The throttle tube required a sanding wheel on a dremel and about five minutes to fit a spacer so the throttle didn’t rub the hand guard. They seem pretty sturdy. I have bark busters on another bike and they feel about like those, just the plastic guard is a bit smaller.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well on Suzuki DRZ-400S/SM
Installed these recently on my 2012 DR-Z400S stock 7/8" handlebars. Fit well, work well, adequate protection. It's important to note that the aluminum bar is drilled only at the main mounting points -- no other holes (weak spots) for mounting the plastic parts. Initially, I thought that the plastic part was loose on the rectangular bar stock, but then noticed that one end-bolt was loosening from vibration. I've used loc-tite now, and all is good. I did add flat washers to cover the slotted holes used for the 'universal mount' ends of each bar, and there was an extra set of button-head cap screws that made this simple. The mounting was straightforward and allowed both the brake lever and clutch lever to fully release. In the case of the brake lever, no contact is made with the guards, and in the case of the clutch lever, only slight contact is made, but the lever was fully extended (no measurable clearance at the cable gap).Very satisfied! And saved about ten bucks on my next favorite choice.
3.0 out of 5 stars Getting what you pay for
The handguards themselves seem pretty sturdy, but the hardware is cheap. As others have said, you will strip the bolts; I even had one bold break off while tightening. They are fiddly and need adjustment, but once you get them on, they will do the job. If you're a little handy, should be not problem. I bought $100 Barkbusters for my other bike that were bike specific, and no surprise, they went on much easier with vastly better quality. So, as I said, you get what you pay for. And that's not nothing in this case; they are adequate and will do the job, but hardware is cheap and installation is fiddly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install
Perfect fit for our 2011 ttr230. They were super easy to install and look great. A great product for the price!
1.0 out of 5 stars Just save your pennies and buy better quality
You definitely get what you pay for in quality. The hardware is cheap aluminum. The bolt stripped on the nylon lock nuts. The clamps and very soft pot metal. The it mounts and the finish look just looks cheap and half A**ed. And they dont even cover your hands properly. Every bit of brush or anything with just do exactly what these are supposed to prevent from happening. I am returning them and just gonna buy a name brand ones.
5.0 out of 5 stars Talaria MX4 Sting and X-Pro 150 cc dirtbike
Perfect for the Talaria MX4 Sting with the thicker inserts.Perfect for the X-Pro 150cc dirtbike with thinner inserts and several wraps of ducttape on the insert (in the handle bars).I just bought my 3rd set of these for another pitbike.
2.0 out of 5 stars fit okay however aluminum is weak and easy to bend
Wife dropped her KLX230S in sand at maybe 5 MPH.. and these bent enough to interfere with the clutch lever. Pretty flimsy. For comparison I've dropped my beta dozens of times on a set of cycra pro-bends and no deflection at all, ordering some from cycra.2 stars because they will protect your hands/levers okay... ...cheap...
As advertised
Bought these for my RE Himalayan and they fit well
The bars ends on the KLX have a solid core & are exceptionally difficult to drill out.
I installed the Handguards on a Kawasaki KLX 250s.The overall quality for the cost was excellent however the fasteners for midway on the bars could have been a better designed. But with a little patience the guards did fit to my satisfaction. If anything happens to these guards I don’t think I will install them again , but instead look for better design & pay the higher cost
