About this item:
The Quasar cutter is a two-in-one combination of the Colibri V-Cut and S-Cut cigar cutters in the ultimate desktop/tabletop format. The cutter is engaged by pushing down on the top peak of the Quasar, which releases and pops up the cutting unit with both blades ready in unison. The V-Cut side cleanly cuts a wedge as deep as 7mm on a 60-ring for a full robust draw. The straight cut provides an equally crisp straight cut on cigars up to a 70-ring. The body is a sturdy all-metal form. The top peak holds the blades and runs on oiled quad pistons to ensure absolute smooth action when in motion. The undercarriage is lined with a rubber gasket for non-slip stability while in use and to prevent damage to the desktop. Also, on the bottom is a twist cap for retrieving and disposing of the collected cigar clippings. (Weight: 1 lb. 5 oz - 592 g)

Great cutter. I've had it for over two months. I've never had a cutter that works so well. Only thing you have to watch for is that too be careful there is no cut cap near the area where you are going to buy another cigar. The caps seem to stay in the loading area. I've learned to just push it in with my finger before I cut.

I saw the Colibri Quasar Two in one desktop cutter in Cigar Aficionado. It looked like a well built and very stylish piece thatwould be both useful and look good to display. The build quality is good. I like that it has both a straight cutter and V-cut or a Cat’s eye cutter. It’s easy to use and provides a clean cut. However after cutting a few Belicoso cigars and trying to empty the cutter of the cuttings from the bottom opening the tips of the Belicoso cigars were too big to come out. I had to use a metal pick to break up the tips so that they could come out. I can’t believe that none of the team at Colibri took this into consideration when designing this opening at the bottom. At the price of $120 this cutter should be thoroughly worth the cost yet sadly it has fallen short of being so. If you do not smoke Belicosos it may bring you complete satisfaction.

The box the item was suppose to be in was not. The box was destroyed and was taped together. The item itself was chipped in a few corners along with a missing piece. It looks like the item was a returned item and sent back out to pass for new.
