I was surprised that this set of Laguile was so affordable. They are stunning and a great overall knife set.However, after one wash in the dishwasher, the handle has lost its waxy feeling. It almost feels brittle. I will be handwashing going forward. It is wood after all...

Price is great, heft is perfect, good-looking knives. I’m not a fan of serrated blades, so these fit the bill. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I’d prefer the handles to be just a bit longer.

So over 10 years ago I bought two sets of serrated steak knives from Dollar Tree. The epitome of cheap and I was pretty broke at the time. In preparation for my recent move I decided I was buying myself all new flatware to include steak knives. 12 place settings so I could accommodate extended family although with beef prices what they are, if all 12 of these are being used at the same time we'll be eating chicken. These are great. Super sharp and well balanced, they just feel good when you use them. I didn't need the gift boxes but the boxes were REALLY nice. These would make a great wedding present.

I love the unique shape of these knives. They stand apart from regular bulky steak knives. I finally bought them during the Prime Day sale and was excited to add to my kitchen. The gift box is sleek, I love the balance of the knife in my hand. Until... I noticed there are flies engraved in the hilt!! 😅It took some research to learn that they are mean to be "bees" and is a sign of craftsmanship that can be traced back to Napoleon! Nonetheless, they feel like flies staring back at me from the dinner plate, and will certainly take some getting used to! I noticed all similar products have flies (bees) which I had to zoom in and find out. I would like that the product images showed these flies (bees) before I ordered them.

Weighted nicely, and appearance at least as good as the photo. I really don't trust these in the dishwasher, but the effort to hand wash is minimal.These knives look a LOT more expensive than their real price. This is an excellent value.
