This scoop works excellent and feels naturally comfortable at hand. Great for hard ice cream, easy to rinse off and is always handy in the sink drain basket cup. Very well designed and constructed and after around 6 months use I feel it will last a long, long time.Like good knives and utensils, it doesn't go in the dishwasher.

This scoop has a point that makes starting a scoop really easy even if the ice cream is frozen solid. It is a nice feeling in your hand, comfortable to use and well made. Nice scoop and a great price!

Purchased to replace a store bought scoop that had become corroded after only a few months of usage and handling. This ice cream scoop is sturdy. I mean like it has heft and you feel like you could use it for self defense. Get it the right temperature and it is a smooth operator at serving up ice cream even from the hardest and coldest containers. The grip is nice and feels good in your hand. Has survived well being washed in our dish washer for many months now. Love it! Now if I could fine a Pie Cutter with the same good feeling for serving alamode!

I have been through so many ice cream scoopers over the years and could never find one that was just right. They're usually the ones that you squeeze and they would do the job but they would never last. My mother-in-law has a very old copper one that doesn't have all the mechanics and whenever we go to her house and have ice cream I always think it's the best type and wished I could find one. So I started searching and since it was old and an antique I couldn't find one like it. So I went to my always go to trusted Bolo. And I'm glad I did because I found this one .I figured it would be a lot better than all the ones that break because of the spring or whatever would go wrong with them. So after reading all the reviews and going through tons of them in my basket to go over again and review myself and it being a little more expensive than I thought I wanted to spend it's was well worth it. It's the best ice cream scoop I've ever used. Very sturdy looks like it will last for years , but not too heavy to handle. It's just perfect. One thing that was very important to me when I was reading the reviews was getting 100% stainless steel. After reading so many reviews of some that I thought were prettier with a cool colored handle or something that I would really like I saw that they were Chrome plated and the Chrome chipped off or become pitted and I definitely didn't want that. That's why I decided to spend a little more than some that I saw for very cheap that were prettier and I'm very very pleased that I ended up with this one. It actually looks like and old retro one they would maybe use in an old timey ice cream parlor. I think that's why I was looking at some of the ones with the Retro colored handles but sometimes that draws us in when were looking for something old-fashioned. But they're usually not made as well as things from the old days when people really cared about the quality of their work. This one is definitely made well. I highly recommended it especially if you're trying to find a good quality one this is is the one. Go for it you won't regret it when you scoop that first scoop!😋

Well built and a good comfortable fit in your hand. A little on the heavy side which seems odd at first for an ice cream dipper but this is probably going to be the last dipper you’ll ever need to buy. It’s extremely well designed and there are no parts to break. The tip cuts into frozen ice cream with ease. The dip size is a little small but there’s a simple solution to that. More dips. Lol.

This thing is solid, not some silver painted plastic junk that starts flaking off after normal use like you find everywhere else. It is metal through and through with the exception of the handle. The scoop is very efficient and effective, and the handle is easy to grip. It glides through ice cream, and the weight of the real metal helps add a little extra oomph to keep it moving. 100% would recommend!
Nice, top quality item
We can now ditch the bent spoon and scoop ice cream without inflicting pain. A quality item - always buy quality. Buy once, not twice: you won't regret it.
Has virtually no effect on NON soft-scoop straight from the freezer.
I boiled some water and put it in a metal jug, removed the hard NON-soft-scoop ice cream from the freezer. After leaving the scoop in the hot water for 15 seconds it was put to test on the ice cream. It made no more impression on the stuff than if I had used a cold tablespoon. Yes, it went in about a centimetre, then stopped. Even placing a lot of pressure on it did not work. The scoop itself still felt moderately hot ...and in theory it should have worked. Another 2 repeated attempts fared no better. I was drawn to the beaked shape of the scoop, thinking that it would sink down in and give some decent leverage, at least, even though it may not `ball’. But no, not in this case. My favourite shop-bought ice cream remained stubbornly in it’s 1 litre tub. 10 minutes out on the worktop is usually enough to get it to be more malleable...but I didn’t try this scoop again, out of principle, as it had failed it’s NO THAW claim. If things don’t live up to their claims, they go back! Simplez!

Brilliant design, weighted perfectly, good grippy handle. Only had it a short while so can’t comment on durability of coating yet.

Fake Balci scoop!
The product i received is a fake black scoop, not a Balci one: No lable on the handle - poorly fitting rubber grip.
