I have always loved Bob's Red Mill products. These packages of unsweetened coconut are a great price & a great quality product - besides being unsweetened, they also are unsulfured which makes for a more healthy product. I add this to my yogurt every day. Only thing to note is that they are chipped pieces, so I just put them through my food processor to make the chips finer. Very tasty!!

If you're a candy-maker, you're probably looking for pekoe (describes the size of the flake, like tea leaves) flake coconut, and this is it. I don't really care for the ignorant anti-science kowtowing this company participates in, but the product is decent. There is a larger variation in flake sizes than in other brands, so this might affect the product's suitability for what you plan to make with it.

I bought these flakes by accident. I needed unsweetened fine shredded coconuts. I did not regret it. I used my blender and turned it into shredded coconut. The flavor and freshness of the product is excellent.
