5.0 out of 5 stars Great disposable brushes
I love having a box of these. For the price per brush it just doesn't make sense to spend any time or solvents cleaning a brush anymore. The natural bristles are not affected by various solvents and thought there may be an occasional bristle hair that gets loose, these are fairly high quality brushes for the price. I would not use these to finish a fine furniture finish but for everything else these are great.
5.0 out of 5 stars a bag of bountiful brushes.......
Growing up I spent several years doing high end paint jobs, using brushes that cost $30-$50 and washing them by hand, with a fine wire comb/paint thinner/lots of soap and water. Now, those are made for certain jobs.....jobs that are on perfect plaster and is to look like a canvas on a wall. These brushes are incredibly good for the cost, and can be washed with clean warm water because most liquids that will be used are acrylic/latex or water based paint, stains and sealants, currently. And they are fantastic for it. If you apply your substance with effort/time/skill you don't need 'perfect' hairs on your brush, apply your substance knowing that and you can do it as if you are using a $40 brush. These take a beating, clean up easy and are ready for another use. I use latex paint, acrylic based sealants, synthetic stains - all dilute/thin or clean up with water. And for the price of the bag of them, if you forget your brush, open a new one. With a steady hand, and taking the time you can cut in walls, shelves, corners, even corners with 2 different colors. And if the brush hairs get uneven, use some good scissors and cut them even or at an angle. And I saved the un-paintable brushes for one of my nephews who thinks he can cut the handles off and find some arts n craft project for them. 👍If you do a lot of your own projects, I recommend getting the big bag of them, 36 because they won't expire and even if it takes 15 years....you'll find a way to use them, even if its dusting off other tools before you use them or the cob webs in the attic corner. Well worth the money!!!!!👍PS, all those pots in the front yard, stained using the brushes, some multiple coats and colors and multiple clear coats.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good and cheap
Theses work great for just throw away brushes when using stain or enamel. Good value pack
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Encaustic Painting
Perfect size for texture painting with encaustic wax. Excellent for clean up of glass dust and removal of Boron Nitrate used in glass fusing. Bristles will come lose from time to time but that is to be expected with any chip brush. Not intended for detail work. Perfect for my needs.
5.0 out of 5 stars Overall not my favorite but they work
Overall, I would say these are decent for things that don’t require crazy high-quality, they aren’t built super nicely, but they do work. I actually use them to brush out tracks for window cleaning and help dust the frames if there’s spiderwebs. They are light and easy to use in that sense. I do wish that the brush hairs stayed together, better, because it does seem like they come apart a little bit more than I would like. Again for the price that is to be expected. I would still buy these for some work that doesn’t require as much quality or maybe for something fun for kids to use as practice
5.0 out of 5 stars Great bargain.
These have proven perfect for staining and sealing in my woodworking shop. You do get a stray hair every once in a while. No biggie.Such a great value that they can be discarded once used. Although I try to use them more than once.Highly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars cheap and cheerful - perfect for fiberglass work
when a one time use is what you need. Perfect for fiberglass work. Bristle are sturdy enough to push resin in the fibers and position the fiber in the mold. Not used it for painting, but probably not great for that.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not great, but they work
I wish I could say that I love these brushes. I mean let's face it, it's a brush right? If you are looking for high quality reusable brushes you're probably better off looking somewhere else. With that said, I have purchased these multiple times times. Why would I do that if I don't love them? We have a small business making wood signs. We put outdoor spar urethane varnish on all of our stuff. It's not easy to get off the brushes, and in the long run, using these brushes and throwing them out is more cost effective then buying good brushes and buying products to get them clean. My biggest complaint is that they bristles fall out CONSTANTLY. I can take a new brush out of the package and find anywhere from 15-20 on whatever I am using it on. Yeah it's a pain having to pick off all the loose bristles but in the end they work for what I need them for. If you are going to paint walls or something that is highly visible I'd suggest using a higher quality brush.
