It keeps my storage room (which is not AC'ed, with only a weather-stripped door separating it from Florida's humidity) about 50% RH. Seems it keeps it at this humidity independently of how humid it it outside. So it definitely keeps the humidity under control. Great to keep our tools less exposed to moisture.

I bought one Camco Moisture Absorber a few months ago after being frustrated with pricey competitors that could be easily damaged in shipment and contained less moisture absorbing material. The Camco worked better than I expected. Its large size and squared off container made it easy to place in tight places. I bought four more and they do the job quite well. The humidity level in my condo and storage unit are much less than with other brands. The only caution I would advise is to be VERY careful when peeling back the foil top to expose the white barrier upon first using. If not careful, the barrier will come up along with the foil.

This pulls very little water out of the air (as compared to a dehumidifier which will pull a couple gallons a day) and I suspect only knocks down the humidity a couple percent at most.
