I bought this set ahead of a flight and my two kids (4, 2.5) were pretty excited by the variety. These are simple to use, clean, and engaging for any young kiddo who enjoys “painting” or search-and-find images. They dry fairly quickly and are ready to use again and again, though they do eventually become less responsive.

I know Melissa and Doug products can seem expensive, at first. However, once you see how long they last, how much your child loves it, how consistent their products are, and how readily available they are, you won’t want to buy another brand. These “coloring books” work just as described. The “paint brush/marker” has a storage spot right on the cover. I will admit, I had to tape ours back on because I hastily ripped it out because my daughter (and myself) were excited to try it out when it arrived. Works great on trips and when child wants to do coloring and you have to work on household/work assignments. It keeps them busy, no damaging furniture etc, and they can keep coloring over and over. I love the fact that it is mess free and great for traveling

This is a great little activity for young kids that is essentially mess free! Some water might leak out but otherwise it is a great coloring activity for toddlers that can be used again and again. A great thing to bring while traveling!

My 3 year old received this as a gift recently and have purchased several more for them and for gifts since. The go through about a dozen uses before getting discolored and permanently soggy. Great price for an activity that travels well. Each page also has a short, written learning opportunity, with a chance to find “hidden” objects. Keep my child entertained, without asking for assistance.

I bought a few of these for my toddler to use when we travel and they are great! They keep her occupied for a while and are mess-free! She uses them in the car, at restaurants, when we have to sit and wait somewhere, etc. I just simply fill the pen/brush with water and throw it into the diaper bag before we leave the house. I really appreciate how it dries and can be used over and over. I know they sell bigger versions of these, however, I do wish the "on-the-go" size was just a bit smaller. My daughter usually carries a mini backpack around with her and because of the extra cardboard on the top above the binding, it it just an inch or two too tall. The pictures also seems to scratch somewhat easily so I wouldn't call them extremely durable. Overall, these are GREAT to have as a travel activity for the kiddos and I would definitely recommend!

Perfect activity for curious and easily bored toddler. I got a couple of these and my baby loves playing with it. Perfect for him when he wants to do arts by himself, also a good activity to spend time with your child. The best part is you can re-use it over and over.
