5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! great pack. not for tall people.
I bought this bag for my 9yo son and I may use it instead! Some reviewers stated it would not fit their torso's properly and I completely believe it. It fits my son perfectly at 4'10". The hip strap would surely be in the rib cage of some adults. It does however have quite a bit of room for gear. So much so that i can't fill a quarter of it or it would be incredibly heavy for my son. It is suitable, by far, for a multi-night trip-worth of gear/food. It is extremely lightweight yet seems durable and well built. The compression straps are useful if the pack is not full. you wouldn't want a growing child to carry more than 10 pounds or so worth of gear. There is not a large amount of padding (good for counting ounces) but the shoulder and hip straps are adequate for comfort. It is impressively lighter than the pack I use. At the price I don't see how it could be beat. Even if you bought three you would still save money compared to bigger name packs in the same weight class!Pros: lightweight, well built, suitable for smaller people, price, plenty of room, duffle style handleCons: not much torso adjustment
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect backpacking pack
Took this on two separate trips in one week. A three day mountain hike and a two day lake hike. It was very comfortable with great weight distribution across my hips and shoulders. No sore spots! Ventilation was decent on my back. The pockets are in all the right places, in my opinion. It cinches down easily without feeling like any seems will rip. It endured some abuse without being heavy. In other words, I was happy I didn’t have to carry the extra pounds of a thicker pack to get durability. I’m VERY happy with this pack!
4.0 out of 5 stars This pack is amazing for the price
This pack is amazing for the price, and with a lifetime guarantee, I have yet to find something to beat this. The Arrowhead 8.0 (labeled as 46 L) weighs LESS THAN A POUND when the 2 metal stays, luggage handle, extra hanging hook, and side zippers are taken off. I have only a few issues with this pack:1) There are 2 huge side pockets, but when the pack is full, nothing can be put in or taken out. I resolved this by taking the zippers off and replacing them with some elastic. Now they are usable.2) The pack is very short, the waist belt hits me at about center rib cage (I'm a 5'3 female, I know short).3) Zipper pulls are made of cheap nylon and came frayed before use.and lastly, an extremely minor thing4) The water tube clip is backwards, and will get stuck on your shirt sleeve 9 times out of 10. This is not a reason not to buy the pack, though! Some great things about it:1) Can be classified as ultralight with minor adjustments2) Strong material3) Large hood compartment4) Extremely comfortable5) Incredibly roomyI had a 75L pack before this and always over packed. With this 46 L pack, I can fit my hammock, tarp, pillow, lightweight sleeping bag kitchen, sawyer mini, clothes, food, and misc in no problem. On the outside I have a sleeping pad and cordage attached. The whole setup was less than 20lbs when I brought this on a 5 days hike and it was great. Almost 20lbs lighter than the same hike last month. Never will I feel the need to over pack again.Awesome pack, buy it. You won't regret it. (Unless you're into huge side pockets.)
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for 72 hour kits
I researched what felt like a million backpacks for my family's 72 hour kits. This back pack is perfect. It is durable enough, but not really expensive. I needed six of these for each member of my family and $30 each was pretty reasonable. There are two metal bars that make up the frame, but it is still a flexible duffle bag style that will fit a ton of stuff. I like the handle on the outside so that I could carry it easily for my little one if I needed to. I had more than enough room to pack it full of three days worth of food, clothes, first aid kits, and other survival gear with room to spare.
5.0 out of 5 stars Lite!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good backpack for traveling on chicken buses
This is the third of these backpacks that we've purchased (but the first from Bolo). We travel to Central America often and these:1) can be carried onto Spirit flights for free2) fit overhead or under seats on chicken buses3) Are comfortable to carry around. The oldest of the three backpacks is starting to come apart at the seams, but it has carried a number of heavy loads... That being said, I wouldn't recommend these for true "backpacking" trips from Xela to San Juan or anything like that. We use our occasionally and it works well in that capacity.
5.0 out of 5 stars Two helmets strap nicely to the outside
Sept. 19th I used this pack to summit Borah Peak, Idaho's tallest peak. The top 1000' was snow covered so we went prepared with cold weather gear. My pack held gear for my wife and me to included 3-liters hydro bladder plus all wind and thermal layers, including extra gloves. The pack contained heavy hiking boots which we swapped for our light hikers at the snow line. We packed our emergency/first aid kit, munchies, camera, sunglasses and a small assortment of climbing protection, just in case. Total weight 30lbs. The pack is too large for what we needed so I cinched the top straps tight and clipped a carabiner drawing the two ice pick loops together. I laid the pack in the snow several times and didn't have any wetness issues. I wore this pack for 11 hours without any discomfort! I use this pack daily to carry climbing gear. For climbing I have it packed with one 70m rope five pairs of shoes, four harnesses, a dozen quick draws, four slings with locking caribiners, two pair of gloves, chalk bag, three belay devices, first aid kit,two fleece jackets and lastly food and water. Two helmets strap nicely to the outside. Now it's FULL!! Awesome bag for the price!
great quality for the price
great quality for the price. i have had expensive packs before that never felt right. this one fits well on both myself 5'7 and my husband 6'4great handles good storage strong lightweight material.
Muy buena opción.
Hasta ahora no me ha fallado nada. Bastante resistente. La he utilizado para viajes largos pero no rudos. El esqueleto de aluminio sí ayuda bastante a mantener la forma y comodidad. Contento. Le faltan unas correas para el sleeping y la tienda de campaña y ya sería perfecta.
Awesome backpack for price
We love this backpack. Nice and light and seems sturdy.
Four Stars
