5.0 out of 5 stars A Hammer is a Hammer
It did the job
4.0 out of 5 stars Seems up to the task
Note: it will blacken a thumb just as well as any other hammer if you hit you thumb with it. Seems fine. Casting is smooth. Handle was clear grain wood and no wiggle to the head. Should pound nails just fine.
5.0 out of 5 stars Overall well made product.
I have purchased these hammers for recognition gifts to some individuals whom have gone the distance to help out on events and projects when needed. The overall look, sturdiness and price point was great. I haven't actually used it to try it out, however I think the men are going to really appreciate them. Thanks.
5.0 out of 5 stars WHEN YOU JUST WANT A HAMMER!
When you need a hammer and you don't want all the fancy hand grips and extra long handles, the Edward Tools Oak Claw Hammer 16 oz is the hammer you need for all normal uses. The handle is extremely solid and the quality is rated #1 of all wooden hammers I've used. The ONLY thing that I see that could be slightly improved is the handle's grip feature could be a little bit deeper so that the hand can hold onto it better. The engraving grip needs to be about 1/32nd of an inch deeper on both sides of the handle to allow the skin of the hand to grip it better but otherwise it's perfect for driving the nails into any project. I highly recommend the Edward Tools Oak Claw Hammer 16 oz for any home or construction project. (See high resolution photos for quality visual detail.)
5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME HAMMER FOR THE MONEY!
I don't think that you could find a better hammer for $7.99. Forged head, custom oak wood handle, 16 oz weight, smooth face. The claw pulls out bent or misaligned nails easily. I am going to purchase another hammer, and recommend that you buy (2) when you place your order!
3.0 out of 5 stars Hammer head was loose
I thought the price on this might be a little too good to be true - and yeah, the hammer head was loose when it arrived.I was able to fix it with a wooden shim and glue so it was still a pretty good price for a wooden handle hammer, but just a warning to check if you buy this, since the hammerhead flying off could be dangerous!
