5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!
Today I used my ice cream maker for the first time. I froze the bottom half overnight & then today mixed up a protein shake & poured it in to make ice cream. The machine only holds about 6-7 oz of liquid, so I drank the last couple ounces of the shake while the machine did its work. Hint: when the motor/paddle part of the machine starts lifting up off the bottom part, your ice cream is done. I noticed it was lifting & pressed down on it (thinking maybe I hadn't gotten it pressed on hard enough the first time) & creamy ice cream oozed out. It only took about 14-15 minutes for my protein shake to go from liquid to REALLY GOOD yummy ice cream.I didn't realize (probably wasn't paying close enough attention) when I first bought this machine that it makes such a tiny quantity but since my husband & I have had bariatric surgery in the past year, we shared our 1 little bowl of ice cream & enjoyed it together! But in case you didn't read the description closely, this machine only makes about 8-9 ounces of ice cream! It's plenty for 1 serving for 1 person. Just don't plan to make ice cream for the family with this machine.Edit to add: this lovely ice cream maker lasted through about 3 batches of ice cream before it broke.
1.0 out of 5 stars Great idea / awful product
This may be one of the worst products I’ve ever purchased from Bolo. In theory, this is a brilliant idea: however, the actual product is awful. There are so many things wrong with this product, it’s not even worth belaboring.
5.0 out of 5 stars Personal Ice-creams
This is the best thing for single portion ice creams. It is not that loud, not sure why others claim it is. Made my first portion today and I was impressed. I have my own recipe, of cream, condensed milk, sugar and vanilla and it came out perfect. It is doing some extra chilling for now, because hot raspberries will be the topper for this ice cream. So if you just want some healthy ice cream and do not want portions that are meant for a whole family, this is your product. If you need extra portions you can add more to the bowl that holds the first portion. The container does not hold up a lot of space in the freezer either. I sure am glad my two bowl with ice and salt days are over. Now we will see how long it will last if I can make more then just 3-4 portions before it breaks, but from what I am seeing so far, it should, it is rather well made. If you churn long enough, the extra frosted on the sides will come back together, if not, no big deal cleaning this. So easy to clean, so much less messy then the two bowl system I used to use. I see once a week ice cream this coming summer!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Do not overfill
6/18 update:Trial and error did the trick. I've used it nearly every day and have figured it out. Nice little machine. Recommended!!This works pretty good. I've made 3 batches so far. It takes a little trial and error. The 1st batch I filled to the MAX line, and it popped the top off and wound the cord around the paddle, covered in chocolate ice cream. A total mess.Second batch I only loaded to about an 1/8 inch under and it worked fine.3rd batch today was just about an inch high (leftovers from the 2nd batch) This tiny amount popped the top off, but I could hear the sound change and caught it before it overflowed. Now, you'd think I'd give it 1 star, but the ice cream was really good. I believe that the top coming off was because the ice cream was actually frozen sooner than expected. 15 min. So I will continue to work with it. All in all I like it and will just continue to play with it until I work the bugs out. It's cheaper than its name brand counterpart by $10.
3.0 out of 5 stars Mostly made ice cream
It did make ice cream, but I had to hold the top on it. When the plastic piece turned inside, if it met resistance it would pop off... This created a mess. Otherwise... The ice cream was a really good 1/2 servings. The plastic piece that spins needs to be slightly smaller or it needs to have something that holds the top piece down. It is noisy, but all normal ice cream makers are. For the price I wouldn't expect perfection, but still needs the changes above to get 5 stars.
5.0 out of 5 stars Makes great ice cream in 10 minutes
I use this for keto ice cream, perfect size for one generous serving of creamy soft serve ice cream. I read many reviews and followed suggestions from other reviewers and I am thrilled with this little machine. Take the time to read reviews for tips, you will love it!
Easy to use.
Got this for a friend's granddaughter and it was simple enough for her to use. Awesome product!
No lo recomiendo
No es nada práctico
Doesn't work
I froze the container for over 12 hours and mixed for over 20 mins and did not make ice cream. Not impressed.I would have gave it zero stars
Superior!
Have you lately seen the price of an ice cream cone???If you invite someone you gotta mortgage you home.I live alone, and can enjoy any flavour, consistency every day. Almost got my purchase money back. And it is almost too simple to operate, and clean. The best since ice cream was invented. Your grand kids will return for sure if this is a pleasure. And the neighbors kids.
