5.0 out of 5 stars No-fuss, do-the-job water bottle
As an avid cyclist, I go through (or lose) a lot of bottles. Saw these at a fraction of the price I usually pay at my local bike shop and thought, what the hey. They're everything I need. They fit nicely in my down-tube cage, but my road bike has a sloping top tube, so they don't quite fit in the seat-tube cage (for which I use a smaller bottle when I need to carry two). They also fit the cage on my mountain bike, although I have to use a side-entry cage because of the frame geometry. The point is that these bottles might not work on every bike application, but they're perfect for most road bikes if you only need to carry one bottle. During the summer I like to fill the bottles half full and stick them in the freezer (be sure to leave the cap loose. When I'm ready to go for a ride, I fill the rest of the bottle with water (or sport drink) and it stays ice cold for a couple of hours even on the hottest days. I've run these bottles through several cycles of freezing now and they're still perfect. They're even dish washer proof. They're also soft enough that I can easily squeeze them to dispense the water, and sufficiently compliant that they slide easily back into the cage without missing a pedal stroke. So if you're not a member of the pro peleton who has domestiques ferrying water every 20 minutes, this bottle will do it for you. And the price is really, really, REALLY right!Seven month follow-up: Been using these bottles for several months now, and it's all good. The ad says they're dishwasher safe on the top rack, but they are a bit too tall for my dishwasher, so I put them on the bottom: no problem. Also see some reviewers complain that they leak around the cap. You should understand that the cap has a sort of "detente" after a few turns; so it takes an extra twist to seal it fully. I'm not sure what the detente is for, but I'm guessing that it's for when you put it in the freezer to allow air to escape as the forming ice expands. I've never had a leak if I've fully closed the cap. I only wish they came in different sizes; I could sometimes use a 16 or 24 oz. bottle.
5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly the Water bottle you need. Cheap and durable.
I bought these when my dog chewed through my favorite cycling water bottle and they fit the bill. I use them for any athletic activity and they wash up easily. No leaks and the cap is easy to disengage using your teeth so you wont lose a tooth on it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Tip fell off one quickly
I was getting sick of spending so much on reusable water bottles and then my kids losing them. So, I bought a bunch of these and now I don’t feel bad if they lose one. They have gone through the dishwasher just fine (extra points), and don’t leak. The only issue was one had the white tip break off after the first use rendering it useless. I would probably buy again though. I think they are good value for price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good bottle, great company
These bottles are exactly as advertised. When I received my order, I discovered that one of the bottles had a small flaw (seam on the bottom wasn't totally sealed so it had a slow leak). I contacted the company, and they responded within a few hours. They apologized and immediately sent me not just one, but two replacement bottles. I couldn't ask for better customer service.Pro's:They are strong and lightweight, great for cycling. The screw-on top is large enough to allow standard sized ice cubes to be put in.Con's (kind of):The only minor issue I could find is that the pull cap on the top leaks a little air when you suck the water out as you would with a straw. This is easily fixed by pulling the cap tight with your teeth to seal it while drinking. Since the bottle is advertised as a "squeeze bottle", I hesitate to even mention this since it performs fine if you squeeze the water into your mouth. It's only a minor issue if you suck the water out, and don't want bubbles in the water. The cap does not leak water when closed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Work Great - No Complaints
Good basic water bottles. They fit standard bottle cages and I haven't had issues with leaks. They feel good in the hand and the squirt top has good flow.Only nit-picky complaint would be that the squirt top slides easier than I prefer and doesn't seem to latch open or closed. But again, it in 6 months of use they haven't leaked and I haven't had any issues coming undone by themselves.
3.0 out of 5 stars Threads are off slightly
This is the third batch of bottles. Generally speaking these are great sports bottles. They travel well, hold up to the elements are are easy to take care of on a daily basis, which is why I continue to order them. This batch however seems to be slightly more difficult to use.It seems like the threading is slightly off on all six bottles. The first couple of turns is very easy, but the last two or three are quite difficult compared to the previous batches. It seems like they tighten all the way, but as I said it is a little bit tough. I am not positive, but it looks like the tension is causing little bits of plastic to shave off each time. This leads me to believe that eventually it will be easy to screw and unscrew the top. My only concern is that with it becoming easier to screw and unscrew is that the seal may be lost and the bottles will start to leak.Overall I highly recommend these bottles. The first twelve were five stars. It is only this last batch that wasn't quite right.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value
I bought 2 6 packs as I was planning a 6 day tour of the Katy Trail with my 5 kids. I had a few “better” bottles like the Camelback Podiums, but nowhere near enough bottles for us to carry 3-4 bottles each. I found these and decided based on the reviews and price, they were worth the gamble. They preformed flawlessly. With 6 riders, over 6 days and 300 miles of gravel, they were a bargain. They didn’t leak and survived all the drops and abuse we could give them, save one. One bottle popped out of the cage on a particularly steep, fast descent and was ran over, cracking the lid. But that could’ve happened no matter what bottle we had. They did not deform in the dishwasher, did not leak, and are flexible enough to easily squeeze and drink from. If you need a lot of bottles and don’t want to spend much, I would definitely recommend these.
5.0 out of 5 stars Leakproof!
Love these water bottles. They are dishwasher safe and leakproof. They are our go to water bottles for school!
Cheaply made
Cheaper bottle did not last before the lid cracked
happy
Happy but one bottle was missing but Bolo sorted that was a little disappointing that there was no cover for the mouth part but holds a lot of drink just what my kids need thank you
Cheap plastic
I have only used them twice since arrived and one of the bottles has already started leaking. The plastic at the top of the bottle is bent. I have taken good care of the product from fridge to bedroom and dishwasher once. I am now writing this review as it has leaked all over my desk. If you are looking to buy sports bottles I suggest spending a bit more money on reliable plastic bottles. lesson learned.
Alright to use but smell of plastic
Smell of plastic so kids not too pleased. Does the job for shorter bike ride before the smell of plastic sets in
