5.0 out of 5 stars These mothers kick azz
The media could not be loaded. SO I have been running a Karaoke business for about 4 years now and in those 4 years I have purchased 4 sets of speakers....But from the sound of these this will be my last purchase for a while!...These mothers Rock! The last set of speakers was one of the Bolo specials they did have a subwoofer and an array on the top with a built in 5 band EQ but those speakers could not hold a candle to these...not only that those old speakers started blowing tweeters after about 6 months ....Save your money and purchase quality speakers don't do what I've done....The one thing I like about these is they are plug and play...you have a 1/4 inch and a XLR input you have a boost button and a Line/Mic button... that's it...no having to set an EQ or need a seperate Ipad to operate. I hooked these up on my front porch to test them out the sound quality was just as good at 150 ft out in my yard as it was at 30 ft. I am VERY pleased with these and if I ever need any other speakers RCF will be my first stop.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfirmance
Depending on the live event/venue size we use these - Great for highs and lows- Vocals in particular but best when used in conjunction with loud speakers such as the Yamaha DBRs to get the full sound range, EQ’d. We’ve even done 1 tower and 1 loud speaker, tuned sounds dynamite.
1.0 out of 5 stars Speaker is falling apart after using it 3 times.
The plastic on the side of the speaker is literally peeling off at the seem. I contacted Bolo and they did nothing. I guess I'm just supposed to be out $900. I certainly can't bring this speaker to a wedding in the condition it's in. I take very good care of my equipment. In the 20 years I've been a DJ I have never once had a speaker case come apart.
4.0 out of 5 stars A great value in mid-range PA
I do the sound for the bands that I'm in, and am always looking for that "better answer" with PA gear. I've been using a pair of these for well over a year, and have come to appreciate them very much. We did indoor gigs prior to CoVID-19, now it's mostly outdoor festival stuff. These work very well in both situations.Prior to this, my go-to setup was a pair of QSC K series over modest subs. This is better for what I do. I've always liked RCF audio gear, and this purchase continues to reinforce my preference. The mini-line-array tops sound great and have considerable throw for outdoor situations. Nice, wide dispersion. Crisp and clear even at 100 yards or more. It's a bit unreal. The 12" bottoms have plenty of thump but are not a substitute for dedicated 18" subs. The RCF units are quick to set up / tear down and are very easy to transport. They appear to be quite well made with no issues so far despite relatively hard use. Sorry about the reviewer who had a problem with theirs. No such problem for me so far.Put them together, and it's a very authoritative sound at a near-bargain price. It wasn't too long after I bought these that other bands and sound guys were doing the same.Warning: like most subs these radiate a cardioid pattern both front *and* back. Make sure to place them so the rear-facing pattern doesn't blast under the stage.Yes, these can get quite LOUD if needed, yet retain clarity in the process. We've never really turned them up over halfway. They work very well for 90% of our gigs, the exceptions being the very small or the very large. If you're considering a standard tops / sticks / subs setup, consider these RCF units. I'm glad I did. Pro tip: call around to DJ supply houses and ask for B stock, demos or returns. You'll likely save a bunch and end up with new gear.Rock on!
