I purchased the RFC JMIX 8 new and bought the J8 used because all the new ones were on back order everywhere. The JMIX 8 really delivers on sound quality partially due to the FiR PHASE technology that corrects phase issues in the circuitry that most units are not equipped to handle. I like how easy the on board mixer is to use. Menus can be figured out using the guide right on the panel. The top section (transducers) store right in the back of the lower section via the use of a rubber strap. If you purchase the roller bag for storage u can store the poles in the pocket on the side. I want to mention that these bags are of good quality but not worth the money at twice the price of JBL’s offering for the speakers. In my opinion due to the fact the speaker has to be removed from the bag to use it and the wheels on the bag are way to small and unusable on a even slightly rough surface. My JBL’s have bags with big wheels and removable tops so you never have to take the units off the rolling platform Vs. RCF’s that are a bit cumbersome to get in and out of the bag. The app is functional and there are rich features like the ability to set the preamp, a plethora of effects and an actual guitar amp modeler built in that actually impressed me. It needs to be noted that you can also plug in a dual foot switch and program it to control 2 different functions like switching between amp channels or turning off FX while talking and then back on for singing. The channel EQ is basic but usable with a low, mid, high, with mid sweep configuration. In general most of the time flat sounds good but a little tweak and your dialed in. Both units can be used together with an external mixer by turning off the function of the internal mixer. This is handy if you are wanting to cover a large band. That feature is not available on the JBL Eon One MKII’s and many other similar units. I also want to mention that you can use a monitor and aux send each channel to it. Another useful mention is the poles go high enough to get the top of the unit over people’s heads so they don’t block the sound when dancing in front of the band. These are extremely loud, built well, and sound phenomenal. Made in Italy with quality. You will not be disappointed in a purchase of these. They are the best overall.
