5.0 out of 5 stars Love it! 500 watts, 4 channels and 8 analog speaker capacity. Very Loud :)
Love it! It's very loud!! :) I was looking for a bluetooth amplifier where I could utilize my old analog speakers500 watts is plenty of power for the 6 analog speakers I have connected on 3 separate floors. I use each of the 4 channels to control volumes on each floor of my house and I can still add 2 more speakers :)The bluetooth connection works fine for my Apple Music and SiriusXM. The USB port on the front is also great for playing MP3's stored on a USB stick. I also connect the audio for my TV via a cable. This is an excellent, affordable and very powerful bluetooth amplifier if you want to utilize analog speakers.I find the volume indicators hard to see so I added some green stickers (attached photo).I do find that I need to be on the same floor to maintain bluetooth connectivity from my phone.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome unit!
I am not using this as intended for a karaoke amp. I was looking for a amp to power my speakers in the garage and backyard. Needed to be able to have different volumes to each speaker. This system works great. The Bluetooth has excellent range and the unit even has a turner built in. I get no distortion and it has plenty of power to push my POLK Audio Outdoor speakers and Sub. Has all the features I needed and saved from having to buy a High end Stereo receiver.
1.0 out of 5 stars Lasted only 1 year
I waited to review this PTA44BT (4 channels) because I was somewhat skeptical (After all, this is a great price for what you're getting). WELL, you get what you pay for and sometimes you eat the bear or the bear eats you. I've been DJing for over 30 years, so I'm not stranger to the audio industry. If you research the reviews, most are made within a few months of the purchase (which is why you get a high amount of 4 & 5 stars. I, on the hand, waited to give my review because I've learned through experience that ANY electronic unit only can by measured by time (no unit sounds good if it doesn't work). My setup was simple... I was using bluetooth with Alexa to play music to my speakers in the livingroom (3 channels and the sub were connected). This unit initially worked exceptional and the added mic inputs were real nice. But, that didn't last long. I began to have some problems about a 1 1/2 year into ownership. Strange hissing noises began to come from the speakers when no music was playing. Usually, it's a sign of interference and your speaker wires not insulated well enough. Because of my background in music, I can eliminate this as the problem. Also, sometimes interference can occur within your power connection, this was also not the case. This noise began to occur more and more often and the music began to sound somewhat distorted. Others didn't notice the difference, but I knew for certain something was wrong. However, it didn't bother anyone else... so I ignored it. Slowly it began to occur more and more until I began to second guess myself and changed ALL the wires and made sure nothing else was plugged into that circuit. Still, it got worse until yesterday when the unit itself began to screech and no sound other than the sub was playing. This is a sign that the channels are blown. I looked into the unit and the fan had stop working. ANY electronics create heat and sensitive electronics hates heat. Fans are the conventional way to cool them down. Now, I know this wasn't the fan which started the problems, but it was the fan that ended the problems. My advice is to spend more money a get a quality amp for your application. I do not recommend this product!
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Enough for the Price, But NO STEREO
Bought this to replace another amplifier that I had been using to power outdoor speakers for my pool and patio area. I liked that this was a simple amplifier as I didn't need multi-channel Dolby Atmos to play music and TV audio for my backyard.Overall, it will serve, particularly for this price, but it does have some limitations.Stereo - First, it's quite true as other have noted - this doesn't not send out a stereo signal. I specifically tested with sources that pan between left and right channels. The same sound came out of both speakers, even when the source was coming from only one side. While this is good enough for my needs, it is definitely misleading on the part of Pyle to indicate that this is a stereo amplifier. At least is seems to blend the left and right together into a common mono output, as opposed to just ignoring one of the channels completely.Bluetooth - The bluetooth function connects, but requires excessive hand holding. The bluetooth connection is pretty much the only one I was interested in as my patio TV has a bluetooth output and I was using a small bluetooth receiver with my old amplifier to send the signal. This new unit will connect and receive...but it won't remember the input setting. The manual indicates that you have to select MODE a couple of time to get back to bluetooth as it defaults to one of the other inputs when it powers up. I ended up using the other bluetooth transmitter hooked up to one of the line inputs on the receiver as I did with the old unit. So, the bluetooth function built into this unit proved largely useless to me.Power - I expected, having to only drive two channels and it being able to drive up to four pairs of speakers, that the two sets of speakers would not have any issues. Again, this proved to not be the case. With two sets of speakers running, I've had to turn the master volume all the way up, as well as the volumes knobs for the two sets of speakers that I've hooked up. The sound is adequate, but not nearly as loud as I would have expected given the rated power of the unit. When I first tested it with a single set of speakers, it did seem suitably loud. However in my final configuration it doesn't put out the kind of power I would have expected. I can't imagine trying to actually drive four pairs of speakers with this.On the positive side, the power button is a physical switch. I was able to plug it into an Alexa smart plug so I can power the unit on or off with a voice command. I prefer this as the unit is outdoors under a covered patio and the smart plug allows me to keep the amplifier from seeing any power when I'm not using it.Ultimately, it will do what I need it to do well enough. At this price point it was a reasonable deal.
Complió y rebasó mis expectativas
The media could not be loaded.
