SO. Being a 228 pound man-child that hates doing dishes with a passion, I needed a large, biodegradable bowl. It had to be a very large one because I eat, A LOT. And when I do eat. I generally take my one large bowl or plate, and just enjoy my food in front of the computer, while watching youtube, or various movies/shows.I do not want to get up in the middle of a show to get seconds. I do not want to pause my movie, or interrupt my escaping of the world from my troubles. I NEED the one dinner bowl to last the show. I definitely wish to limit how many times I leave the front of my computer!Now that I have given you context:Thus, these bowls have been exactly what I needed. Exactly what I was looking for. They are large enough to meet my earlier demands of 1 sitting without getting up. They are sturdy enough where I can have my milk and cereal at a leisurely pace without worrying about the bowl breaking down. Now, I have not tried to use these bowls with a hot soup so I cannot say how sturdy or fragile these are for that particular application. However. For cereal and milk. For canned chili. For rice and fried eggs and fried spam. These bowls will do nicely.That was my main concern for these bowls when I purchased them. (Besides size) I needed durability. I was afraid that the cold milk would soak through the bowl, and just leak out everywhere. This occurrence has not happened. Not even close. The bowls are able to last through my slow eating (+30 or more food chews per bite over the coarse of a show or movie so between 1-2 hours) without showing any signs of "critical mass" bowl failure.I have not tested these by leaving liquid in these bowls overnight. I have not done experiments to actually try to break these bowls. Nor have I gone out of my way to cause them to fail overfilling them, or damaging them prior to use. So no. I do not know the upper limits of these things. I just know the bowls to be uniform, durable enough for my needs, and usable.That being said. These bowls are a perfect replacement for the large oriental style plastic bowls that I am used to. These bowls are a perfect replacement for the mini shield buckler/upside-down Captain America shield sized dish that I use for my dinner. Thus, I am saved the chore of cleaning the durn thing (which btw said Captain America sized dinner dish is more then half the size of my kitchen sink!)Well made, large in size, durable, and forgiving on your environmental footprint!(Also at the time of this writing. I am placing my second order for this very same item.) Though I have no comparison with other similar bowls. I am happy with my purchase from this brand and happily give my recommendation.

I like that these are large enough to put an entire canned soup with liquid in the microwave. They are sturdy so when you take hot liquids out of the microwave you don't have to worry about the bowl collapsing. A little bit pricey, but so worth it I don't mind. I gave my sister a stack of these when her kitchen was being remodeled and she was very impressed with them also.

We have bought these many times. Soups, Stews, Curries - you name it, this bowl hold them all with no problem and retains the heat. Have placed them in the microwave with no problem. Will continue to buy.

I bought these when looking for something to use to serve chili on Halloween. I was looking for something strong enough to hold up to hot chili and toppings but disposable for easy clean up. These were perfect and I episode highly recommend them!

These are very sturdy bowls and can be used for hot or cold foods and no leakage whatsoever, however the bowls arrive in poor packaging at times. Sometimes they are tied and sometimes they are loose and shoved in the plastic like someone was in a hurry. Consistency with shipping the products needs works.

I bought this bowls last minute to serve a meal that includes soup and I must say this bowls worked great. It held up without any spills and did not soak up the soup. Although, the soup was dished when the guest needed to eat so not sure if it holds liquid if left for a very long period of time. That been said, if you need for an event most likely the food will be consumed not long after dishing then I would highly recommend. I bought another pack to serve same dish at another event 😁.
