5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely worth it!
Perfect and amazing “mod” for any E53 or compatible vehicles. Nothing to complain about regarding the quality. Many ways to mount depending on how creative you are. I modified my ashtray “cigarette holder” to fit the aux port with the help of some 3D printing.
1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn’t work for 1999 yr
I ordered this for my e46 1999 323 bmw and I took apart the radio and it needs a different sizing. Not enough prongs / and different sizing. If you have the same car as me, don’t even think about it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great aux bmw adapter
How fast it was to install and have working. It was a ten minute job.
4.0 out of 5 stars Neat thing but ring nut had bad threads. Arrow on plug points up toward fuse.
This aux-in adapter is the neatest thing. I plugged it into the back of father in-law's 2003 BMW 330Ci radio, pushed the "mode" button a couple of times, and "AUX" showed up on the display. Sound quality is crystal clear. A few things worth noting: the arrow on the plug points upward, toward the fuse on the back of the radio. I mention this because the plug can be put in upside down. For location, I drilled a 1/16" pilot hole, followed by a 15/64" hole to the upper-right of the cigarette lighter to install the 1/8" jack, but in hindsight that is barely the ideal spot because the lid for the ash tray partially covers the jack when fully open. Fortunately, the kit comes with a 1/8" jack cable with a skinny plug and wire, so it fits in the jack under the lid, but I don't know if a bigger diameter plug and cable would be able to fit. Furthermore for this hole location, I had to use a utility knife to cut away the edge of the compartment's back-side cover to make a straight shot for the cable/jack to reach behind the hole I'd drilled. Hard to describe, but I'll attach a picture if Bolo will let me. Third issue I had was with tightening the ring nut around the 1/8" jack. As I was tightening with the edge of my finger nail, the nut got too tight to turn but the jack was still loose. I used needle-nose pliers, and with the slightest force the nut jumped threads. I took it off and saw the threads were perfect on the jack, but the ring nut was slightly too big in diameter. I used pliers to "squeeze" the nut into a slight egg shape, but that made it shatter into 6 pieces. I thought about sending the kit back to get another one, but I feared I'd get the same poor-quality nut again. So, I paid $5 for twenty 1/8" jacks (link here: www.Bolo.com/gp/product/B07MNV3NCJ). I took the ring nuts off of each, tested on the jack to find the nut that fit the most "snug" (they all fit pretty much the same, but one was just barely more snug), and I used that nut to fasten the jack in place with no problem. If I had to do it again, then I'd probably drill the hole to the lower-right of the cigarette lighter. That would require cutting away some plastic from the plug for the ash tray lamp, but it would be worth the effort I think.
1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid. The mini jack cable is junk- Vendor does not respond at all.
Installed the setupand the sound was totally garbled. decided to return but it is a pain to remove the radio and unsnake the cable with the female 3.5 mm jack. On a hunch I tried another 3.5mm extension cable and it sounded pretty good. So it turned out the 3.5 mm jack extension was junk or defective. Tried to get the vendor involved but no response whatsoever. after a week of silence I left the review. Turns out the bonus cable is bait. And the absence of response tells me to avoid this vendor.

No funciona.
Una decepción el producto. No funciona. Es el segundo que compro y ninguno sirvió. Leí comentarios similares al mío y pensé que posiblemente les había tocado mala suerte, pero veo que el producto es un fraude. No lo compren.
